  1. looks good post me when youve had a go.....
  2. Agreed Predator 666 Had an RB30 with about 230K on the clock and it was still bullet proof. Very much fun to drive and chirp into 2nd gear etc. My R33 feels solid and now with a new timing belt I feel comfortable with going on with it in the same way. KM's don't matter a great deal when they are maintained properly. El Bee
  3. Ozzy It's a normal Skyline thing. Mine used to do it, until recently, with standard everything when driven hard. Still got standard BOV but with exhaust now does it a lot more. Sounds pretty cool to me. Enjoy! El Bee
  4. Hey Rev Know it sounds like an Urban Myth but I did know a bloke who pulled a molar out with pliers. Real pisshead. More than me (well just). Used to see him every day at local and he was forever complaining about toothache etc and said he was thinking of tugging it himself. One day he said that he had done it offering to show me (didn't take up the offer), but I firmly believe that he did it under the anaesthetic of some "rocket fuel" spirit. Amazing what you can do when the pain gets too much. Crazy thing is that he had a payout from a motorbike accident and owned a coupla houses that he rented out and lived with his parents. Did I say crazy? Wouldn't dare. G'day Tony wherever you are.
  5. Yeah My Wife's Aunty has a 91 Pintara bought new. It now has 29,000 genuine Kilometers on it. I would not buy this car in a million years as it just sits in the garage (Been thru at least 4 batteries). Never had fuel filter changed or trans oil etc in all this time. Would definitely blow it up first time I drove it. Low K's ain't necessarily what it's cracked up to be, especially if the car is not maintained properly. The fluids do go off etc. Love your 'Line if it does what you want it to regardless of KM's!! Another thought. I think they look after them well in Jap because of the laws etc.
  6. My user manual for 93 R33 says 65L fuel tank. Seems a lot of posts on this have been saying only get "x" amount of Kilometes on a tank and can only put "x" amount of fuel in. If you don't put 65 Litres in then you have not emptied the tank. Different guages will show emptyat different levels. I would suggest that to check fuel economy: 1. Fill tank and reset trip meter 2. Next time you fill note how much fuel you put in and also how far you have travelled. 3. Do the maths to work out Litres/100 Kilometers If you work out that you get 10 Litres per 100 Kilometers then you could expect 650 Kms from a 65 L tank. Note to self: Should do this soon as well

    GTS-t badge?

That's Mega nice. How much was it? Where is it meant to be put?
  8. I too tend to believe that they must have been wound back. All the cars in a yard seem to have very similar readings. I picked one with very little wear on seats, pedals etc. It was also stock, so any mods and racing will only have been done by the Aussie owner. When taking my car home the odometer was working only intermittently. I took it back to the yard and they agreed to fix it. I argued that it was not possible to know exactly how many K's it had done and they also agreed to do my timing belt etc well before the 100K it was due. A good result in the end.
  9. Congrats Ben Watched your runs and reckon you should check your rears for flat spots as I saw rubber shooting off when the tyres came back onto the back rollers. OK........ You asked me to post my result. You must remember that I have a stock R33 with only a bleed type boost controller set, after my first run, at 10lbs (first run was pinging). Ended up with 148.8, pretty happy with that (Wife is chuffed). I think that you may have silenced some critics with your results, if your car has stock ECU etc. Will watch your progress from here on. What is the next step? ...... Anybody?
  10. Gday rs73 I have done this a while ago when I had trouble with my Hicas light coming on. Steering angle sensor was the problem. I am fairly sure that I used a 3/4 socket. You need a bit of leverage to undo it and I used a Torque wrench with about a 600mm handle. I am not sure from your comments, but if the socket is stuck on the nut then it certainly is too large. Once the nut moved I counted the number of turns that it took to come off completely so that it went back on the same. You will need a steering wheel puller after it has come off. Don't be tempted to bash it with a hammer or something. Make sure you have a boss kit for our R33 otherwise you will have the Hicas warning light coming on and it will be disabled. Hope this helps and other guys may be able to confirm socket size etc. Good luck El Bee
  11. Gday Me, Humbla(Wife) and R33 GTSt interested to meet like people and cars anytime. Where ya headed? (ie Nowra or surrounds) Plenty to see and do. Give us a yell. 0438080073 Enjoy!
  12. Good one Steve Gotta work but my Wife & Daughter will be there Enjoy! El Bee
  13. Yeah Dude I have replied to that Post (couldn't help it). The surround of my R33's tank cap was "held on" by 3 blobs of some adhesive that obviously wasn't doing the trick. My wife had bought another petrol cap before we realised what the problem was. I used a well known silicone sealer to fix the problem and have had no worries since. There shouldn't be too much fuel in contact with this area under normal circumstances. The fault is, indeed, lazy compliance work. Enjoy!
  14. Gday all After using Maguires Gold car wash we (she) always uses a chamois and wrings out etc etc. We now use a cheap synthetic chamois and found it as good, if not better, than the dear one we had before. You must clean the chamois after every use to get the grime out. Otherwise you are wiping it back on. We use Sunlight soap and rinse then keep chamois damp in it's container. Showroom finish Enjoy Laurie & Genelle
  15. Am interested. Pls keep us posted. Enjoy!
  16. We're comin the other way from Nowra rain, hail or shine to see/meet as many as poss at first outing. We'll be the one that look like olds in a Fagna. We aren't, and it isn't. (Its the greeny/grey one with number plate YEY***). Hope we won't be alone. Enjoy! El Bee
  17. Na, got it thru Garry Blogg Motors in Syd. It is a really excellent sleeper because those who don't know think its a Fagna or something. My wife got a top reaction from a V6 Navara driver recently. As he was being passed he mouthed to his mate "What the f*** was that!" Gotta show another pic to hopefully show the colour.
  18. Thanx again. Just took a basic 640 pic and will try to add to my user ID. Any assistance welcome.
  19. Thanx Joe Will keep an eye out for any sites etc See attached pic of my totally stock R33. Am very happy with it. El Bee
  20. Hello all This is my first post to any Forum whatsoever. Please look after me. I have an R33 that was advertised as being "Burnham Green" one of only 300 made in this colour. Compliance plate colour code says DN0 K. Cannot find any mention of this in any site. Does anyone know of this colour and/or a site that lists the full colour codes and stuff like that? ps Live in Nowra and will be in the Gong on Sundy. Hope tp check you out there. Enjoy!
