  1. No worries. I seem to recall there was a girl from QLD (I think) who talked about having something made up for her when we were discussing the plastic weld option. So you have finished yours eh ? I'll have a look and compare. El Bee
  2. Gday Stan, My Wife and Daughter are girls, our dogs are bitches but.... I'm a bloke. Or are you just calling me a big girl ! Enjoy! El Bee
  3. If it is called off for any reason, I reserve the right to confiscate any Motor Vehicles owned by the participants. No further correspondence will be entered into. El Bee
  4. Duncan & Paul, Paul & Duncan. PM each other, work out a time and sell tickets. This may get the club out of a shortfall. Anyway, it sounds a bit off that WSID Management will forego the cancellation fee on the understanding that we go away somewhere. The question is..... where ? The facility has been built for Drag events to ensure that these do not take place on the streets of NSW. Sooooooooooo..... Why do we have to wait until next year ? Are our alternate spots taken up ? Is someone from the board retiring at the end of this year ? Are legal procedings underway ? This is so confusing. El Bee
  5. Did anyone float the idea to have each pit crew and spectators donate $5 each for another day to cover the washed out event. 50 cars potentially equals 250 "extras" 250 x $5 = $1250. Just a thought. El Bee
  6. Let's try and be cool about it. A few of us have a rather long trip to this event but, I would like to see this hapen sooner than later. Patiently waiting some result. El Bee
  7. I read the thread linked by midnight. Have just replaced the bulbs with the "grain of wheat ones from Dick Smith. Cost was $2.50 for a pair. 1. Take the control unit out 2. Undo the two bulbs with a quarter turn 3. Unwrap the thin wire holding the bulb to the holder that makes the actual "contact" 4. Carefully push a toothpick under the blue condom and roll it around the bulb to separate the rubber from the bulb. 5. Reverse order for new bulbs. Simple. (Although on the one pictured I left a tiny bit of the blue rubber on the old bulb. I managed to get it off completely intact with the other one.) Look closely and you can see the wire wrapped around the base of the holder. (This is the replacement globe in place) Enjoy! El Bee
  8. PFC received today. Thanks gR33ddy. El Bee
  9. Count me in plus one or two. El Bee
  10. All the best. Hope you've still got your Green R33. Enjoy! El Bee
  11. kermit, kezza & IOWNU, The "mate" was very well pronounced and he is very "strine" as evidenced by the "we make good cars in this country too" but..... It did annoy me that he was trying to out Aussie me, considering that both set of my Grandparents and beyond were born here (with a touch of convict on at least one side). Anyway, it does come down to personal preferences in the car that you drive and have owned Holdens and Fords in the past. But those days are gone unless they catch up big time. I would rather drive my 1993 Skyline than anything produced in Australia today. El Bee
  12. Passenger light sold. Drivers side still available. El Bee
  13. Met with a relative of the future Son-in-law recently. In response to something on the telly he goes into something like "Japs are no good, should all be drowned at birth" etc etc. I tried to continue with "they make good cars though" (knowing that he must have seen my car, as he arrived after me). His response was "we make good cars in Australia mate". So it was.... Ok. End of discussion. I did not say another word to this jerk and I don't think that I ever will. (Well done Spiro) El Bee
  14. One will be available late Saturday afternoon (12/11/05). Can go back through Liverpool. Getting replacement tuned in Sydney. Original guaranteed to work. PM me if interested. $150 with plug. El Bee
  15. Paid today. PM sent. El Bee
  16. Bleed vavle sold. Ready to ship passenger headlight, waiting reply on $20 postage. El Bee
  17. I'll be halfway there before a lot of you guys are awake. There are only a few spits in it. See you there. Enjoy! El Bee
  18. Have just PM'd Abo bob with a spot available. Will let him allocate as he sees fit. Enjoy! El bee
  19. Looking forward to this. I will be bringing a set of R33S1 headlights and Turbosmart boost controller if anyone is interested (see for sale). I will also be bringing ribbons and badges for Breast Cancer awareness (the real deal) for $2 or $5 donations. It looks like I will also be bringing a spare spot. I will advise abobob shortly if the spot becomes definately available. Enjoy! El Bee
  20. Gday Paul, My future Son in law is looking for an R33GTSt one. Please count him in. It can go in my name for the moment etc. Thanks. Laurie
  21. If it is not showing the AFR, it is probably showing another display eg Batt voltage. You can toggle between the displays up and down. The AFR reading is the top one. El Bee
  22. OK. Done that.
  23. I would tend to trust the tuner, but..... My Apexi turbo timer shows A/F ratios while running, and shows lean as when you back off going down a hill for instance. I beleive that this is nothing to worry about at all. Your guage showing lean on idle is something that I am not familiar with as mine shows mid 14's on idle. All the best. El Bee
  24. Best the car has done was 14.0 something with my Son at the wheel last drag day. I could only manage 14.2 something. We are both pumped to bypass the 13's and go straight to the 12's. Would appreciate any hints on how to acheive this on the day. Don't be shy. Let us know how to do this stuff as we are both newbies to this game. See you there. El Bee ps. And I mean it, come and say gday and give us some pointers if you can.
