  1. I second that.
  2. Nice thoughts Duncan, but between my Son and myself there are 250 people after spots! El Bee
  3. You probably don't want to hear this, but I would recommend keeping the stock airbox an putting an aftermarket panel filter in it. eg K&N All will say, "Oh yeah, but what about when you get a FMIC" And I would say, do something like this.....
  4. That sucks. What have I paid all this extra money for ? There are spectators that I would like to invite, and spectators that my Son (2nd driver) would like to invite. NXTIMEs quote clearly states "per driver". El Bee ps. Didn't pay any extra for 2nd driver last time so understood then. This time is extra $100.
  5. Or this.
  6. If it usually sits around mid 14s and goes down to 9,10,11 or whatever under boost, then it is working fine. It will show 20 when you lift your foot going down a hill etc. El Bee
  7. Spotted heaps of Skylines this weekend in Nowra. Long weekends are like that. Good to see more lines around even if most are just passing through. Expect to see plenty this arvo going back up North.
  8. Hey. Just noticed something. Who's the goose on page 100 in the left lane. Only gets a 15.520 at 93.77mph. Oh ........ Well, it was my first run of the day. And if Moanie's is stock, then mine only has half an engine. And I was using four space saver tyres. Enjoy! El Bee. ps. Now next time, I predict a fairly dramatic change.
  9. Your post seems to have a touch of the "once more for the dummies" about it but, I do think that you are confirming what my mechanic and bilbo117 have said. The advice that I was given was to keep the shroud, and fit the 16 inch Davies Craig. I haven't tested this setup mid-summer as yet, but 86 degrees is the highest seen so far on the PFC Hand Controller. I would also recommend to anyone else to ensure that your cooling system is clean and using good coolant etc. and make sure that your radiator cap holds sufficient pressure. El Bee
  10. I have just read the words "per driver" in your quote. Because my car will have two drivers do I double the crew, spectators and photographers ? I hope so as I am paying nearly double the fee. Would like this clarified by anyone in a position to do so. El Bee
  11. I'm mulling that one over. Firstly, are there widebands available for car install ? If so, do they use a greater voltage range, or just a better resolution within the range ? If they use a different voltage range, can the unit handle it ? My answer is a confident "I don't know". Hopefully someone else could answer these questions. El Bee
  12. My mechanic said that it was important regarding air flow. I can only believe him on that one. Enjoy!
  13. As far as I know, the standard Air Flow Meter will be a problem if running a bigger turbo and higher boost. The resolution is greater than the standard AFM and, therefore, allows more tuning flexibility. iplezin hasn't mentioned boost. Is this gonna be boosted ? if so, how ? El Bee
  14. Hey gR33ddy, how goes it. We went a 16 inch Davies Craig and ditched the engine fan when the FMIC was installed. Had a thermo switch installed into the radiator and an over-ride switch on the dash if you need to have it on continuously (haven't needed it yet but would be good to maybe run it before going down the dragstrip or something). I reckon a big thermo is the go, but keep the shroud. El Bee
  15. Anyone got pics of these sensors ? I have R33 with climate control 18 = cold, 19 = hot. Just wondering. El Bee
  16. Got one GTSt Manual. NSW South Coast. El Bee
  17. Yeah. Might make the trip from Nowra if this is a goer. Good guys at Unigroup. Enjoy! El Bee
  18. I have one and reckon they are great. Unfortunately I am not big on how to set it up, as this was done when it was installed. My tuner said that they were not accurate outside the narrow band info that they get but, it is good to get comfort from the display showing mid 14's down to whatever your A/F's go to under load. Will have a look at the documentation soon but I THINK that you set it up to show a certain A/F ratio based on the voltage from your O2 sensor. El Bee *edit* I reread your post and you have the documantation that I don't understand either. If I find out how it is done I will let you know. BUT it seems that the unit displays the A/F automatically based on the O2 voltage. ??
  19. Yeah, the kit is the way to go. The cleaner is some sort of basic detergent that you spray on and wash out, then oil the filter. All good. El Bee
  20. Got a Jaycar IEBC & Hand controller made up and works. Let me know if interested. El Bee
  21. From memory (failing as it is) this could be just an adjustment of a pot, or making sure you have the "dot" and "line" chips in the correct places. El Bee
  22. I have used one. They certainly control boost. My stock turbo didn't like the boost I gave it though (operator error). Now my Wife would not let me put it back in after turbo rebuild El Bee ps For sale IEBC and Hand Controller assembled and working. Will post something soon in appropriate section.
  23. The motor comes with a plug that is not a direct fit. You have to cut this off and join your plug from the old one. The new motor has red & green wires while the old plug is mainly black & white from memory. Once you connect it up you can check the operation. If up and down are back to front you swap the wires around. El Bee
  24. $150 will get you a new generic replacement from Justjap in Sydney. They are in Kirrawee on the South side near Sutherland. Hopefully they are still this price because I bought one a coupla weeks ago and they were saying it was half price. You just have to change the plug over. All the best. El Bee
  25. I have 93 model Series 1 (obviously). No airbags whatsoever. Used to have ceramic turbo (as they do). Didn't like too much boost. El Bee
