PonieBoi R32 Sedan Build
PonieBoi replied to PonieBoi's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Pulled my knob too hard (haha) and shifter bushing became non existent. Went to get a gktech solid bushing from Sleekas and it turns out the bushing has worn that much, I need to get a new/not f**ked shifter. If anyone has other aftermarket options they have used, hmu. -

Been a minute. Haven't really done much with the car. Just enjoying it. Pretty much finished my non-hicas subframe. Figured I'd re-enforce the tabs and mounts before it gets painted. It's not pretty but for my first time welding, itll do alright haha. -

I know what he meant haha. I've raised the car since then but the moment I got them out the box without adjusting them, that's how they sat. -
Z33's are basic cars, they don't need to go to tuning shops. The go to guy in SA for Z / VQ things is Daniel Hollands at Crown and Pinion. Pretty much all he does is Z / V35 stuff and a few import things.

Now that I can go back to working on this thing. Back to trouble shooting. One of my problems is the car doesn't like to start again after it's hot (hot start). I have to disconnect the fuel pump to starve the motor, reconnect and start. Got the injectors tested and cleaned, pretty much all above board. Will wack them back in, take the car around to Jaustech (SA), get the hot start config looked at. -

Got the car home for the first time in nearly 6 months. Fresh kit, paint job and wheels. Next on the list is chucking in a non hicas subframe which I'm in the middle of doing the gktech reenforcement plates on, and also will be looking at new injectors and one of mine has a leak. -

Coilovers are how they came out of the box. Only just got the car home today. Got camber arms for front and back but don't really need them. -
Bought some R32 Indicators. Forgot to check if GTR or GTS and they're for a GTR so they don't fit. Up for sale or swap for GTS amber indicators. Have mounts and looms still in them. Price for sale is $400 for the pair. Would pref. swap though. Contact: Ryan https://www.facebook.com/poneyboi/ [email protected]

Wheels on. Rears can tuck 17x9 +30 with stock arms (bought camber arms all round just in case) -
Hi all, Can someone let me know what's interchangeable on the rear subframe between hicas and non hicas? Eg, can I slap on rear knuckles and arms from a hicas car onto a non hicas subframe providing I have the traction arms? (The knuckles are hopefully the same is my query)

I can no longer edit my already edited posts. Is this something that can be changed so I can fix the image problem? Cheers! -

Yeah I've tried to sort it, now I can't even edit my posts. Not sure, I've put in a report to mods/admins. -
Not possible, the way the exhaust gases travel from a stock NA header as opposed to a turbo manifold and rear housing affect the sound massively. Might as well be a different engine.

Yeah coming from relatively stock BMW's and going in and out of Regency for the last few years, it was a bit of a shock lol. Yeah yeah, tbh he was like "you should buy this" so I made it his problem haha.
