  1. Hey mate how did you go with the swap and what route did you take with the loom/ecu
  2. If you have a rb25det series 1 or 2 already, it's not to bad as you have most the parts you need to interchange but buying neo stagea engine for a project is making your job a lot harder
  3. Thanks for the help guys. But yes beware anyone telling you putting awd neo into a r33 is easy, are just lying and trying to get rid of their engine lol
  4. I think using a s2 r33 loom with r32 nistune computer is how I'll go as by what I've read it's less mucking around and more straightforward for someone with no wiring experience. Hooking up the r33 body loom to neo engine loom would be a a job I cannot do.
  5. Here just to clear up that I have 2 pairs of front turbo brakes. I just had them NA ones in the boot of one and thought someone would know straight away. Thanks to the legends that help a brother out and don't play God with the information they know, we're all good at doing different things, helping someone with your knowledge is a act of kindness. Making a joke out of a simple question is pretty disrespectful, this could be my first r33 I've took apart and put back together (it is)
  6. By saying "I think your new "gtst" left the factory as a gts....maybe check the VIN" Doesn't give me any information at all. I already checked the vin turns out they are both turbo manual from factory. Would have been helpful if he said the twin piston front callipers are from a none turbo model.
  7. Are you ever actually helpful 🙄
  8. Thanks bro I was talking smack with my mate and saying it could be the front NA brakes. Cheers for your time mate
  9. I got these brakes with a r33 gtst series one I brought a few years back and presumed they were to suit the vehicle. But then I recently brought another r33 gtst but the rear brakes are different. Hoping I have something special 😅 any help greatly appreciated 🙏 first 2 pics are of the caliper in question the 3rd pic is of rear brakes on new car
  10. Out of curiosity what mods have you got to produce the power out put
  11. Nice write up mate. Collected some good info from all this 😁👌
  12. Tough decision, I have the neo loom and r33 loom both have been messed with but I have a mate that can do the wiring for me his just not familiar with rb engines and ecu's. I'll try and find a bit more info as I can get a power fc for a neo
  13. How does this work plugging it into a r33 computer? Or is engine and body different
  14. Cheers guys I've got a mate doing the awd sim for me so I'll have the bottom bolts to use in bell housing. What did you guys do with the wiring and computer. Should I use the loom in my series 1 r33 gtst or the loom that can with neo stagea engine.
  15. So is it fine to not have any bracket from the engine to gearbox? Or do you need to get bolts drilled and tapped in the block Cheers homies
  16. Hey all I 2 questions and I apologise if I'm seeming incapable, I've searched many threads and websites to find info but most information is 10+ years old so probably out dated by new parts and methods. And also you find some info saying one thing then other contradictory of the what you last read. Q1: putting a stagea engine in r33, I believe from what I read. All you need to do is cut and shut sump then my r33 big box will bolt straight to it? I use r33 engine mounts and gearbox mounts. Use Series 2 r33 loom, with mods to suit coils on neo engine and is that all that needs doing for the swap? Q2: identifying engines, is there a table to check engine numbers for year of production. I have a rb25det neo long motor I brought as a runner out of a auto stagea engine number being: rb25381540A and a block I brought with forged pistons: rb25030554A told it was a neo but must be from r34? Any help is greatly appreciated sorry if this has all been covered but I think an updated thread is much needed. Cheers ✌
