  1. What’s the labour like on it? And how much better is it than the stock one? Guessing a lot stronger. I would be shipping from Japan to Hong Kong so not that bad…
  2. I see on rhdjapan they are under 1500 usd but is that a complete replacement for my transmission? Or just the case? the r34 getrag transmission swap is like 15k usd lol.

  4. I was actually just planning on replacing the fourth gear parts in the gear box that I broke … like the synchro hub or cone. And any other parts I need once I open up the transmission. That a bad idea? The rest of the gears feel tight. these parts shouldn’t be too much … just the labour here won’t be cheap. Just replacing these in HK would be around 2k aud including labour. how much is a new r33 or r32 transmission? thanks for the good info as usual
  5. Hi all, suspect this is a common problem. I think I missed 4th gear a bit when I shifted down from 5th. Now it grinds into 4th with the downshift. Is it the sychro and what do I need to replace when I open the gear box up? added a photo of my new titanium intake I just installed and built. 👍💪
  6. Yes I think we changed out the transmission fluid as I had a leak last year so we changed out the seals also. Need to check. I should have said just change from 5th to 4th gear … down shift. There’s a grind. I have a new clutch X clutch … but as I said all the changes in other gears are fine.
  7. Anyone else have a grinding issue changing from 5th to 4th gear. I have no issues 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th. But the car seems to grind a little when I do 5th to 4th … is this a common issue? Had it from the last owner. Bit annoying as I can’t hard shift down. Feels like I have to push a little to the left to get it smoother into gear. thanks

  9. Thanks for the info… guessing less rewarding for my hks ss turbo setup. Might just be more beneficial for a single turbo. I’m just concerned it will hurt my engine long run which would be very expensive.
  10. Hahah yeah but a man got to do what a man wants to do. Won’t be using it infront of the 5O anyway. My car is illegal as is with the mods.

Just curious anyone running anti lag tune on a bi turbo setup… guessing the benefits aren’t too rewarding … to be honest I do the like the shooting flames on revving though … I know it might not be good for the longevity but i do think I would enjoy the flame shooting in front of crowds. Take it however u would like, 😭
  12. Great info as usual. Thanks … im already running a hks oil cooler. I will check my coolant mixture - that’s interesting. I guess if the problem persists the next stage is to run datalogging but I will need to do this when the temperatures are crazy hot. Hong Kong is going thru a heat wave right now.
  13. Yes still have that .. what to keep the stock parts and plastic bits relatively stock looking as I started off with a pristine vspec specimen. Will resell her in a couple years. Is this stroud restrictive?

  15. This is the issue as the stock gauge I have heard won’t really read correctly and if it moves up it’s already too late. Mine moved up a little - I would say just past middle. Hence my motor wasn’t cutting off below 6500 max boost, I think if the temp was really high it wouldn’t go pass 3000 … that’s why I wanted to run a separate more efficient water guage and sensor to check readings closer - if anyone else is running them? And add a boost gauge while I’m at it.
