This is what I was looking at next: https://www.z1motorsports.com/engines/tomei/tomei-rb26-28l-short-block-assemblies-p-45479.html as we can’t bore the cylinders out in hk so better just buy the whole lot in one and install then retune. Everyone saying the weak link are the bolts holding the rods together. I already did valve springs, arp head bolts, hks racing coils, nismo fuel pumps and pressure regulators, injectors etc for the top of the engine.
  2. My whp was 418whp and 518hp crank on 98 octane fuel. So decent numbers.

  4. I think the figures are pretty accurate as all my other cars are around the right hp readings as have done on multiple dynoes. However they are rwd cars so might mean the difference. I am running every possible hks part also and a str exhaust … all new ecu. The mod list is endless. 😂 I’m ready for stroker and big turbo if I go that route.
  5. Will mainly be steering the car as tracking it in China would reduce its value a lot and mines a near mint condition v spec 2. Just weighing out the options for the next improvement. Thanks
  6. Thanks for the info. With the 2.8L stroker kit what would be the best single turbo setup for around 700-750 drivable horsepower? As I think after that it’s going to be very aggressive power delivery.

  8. Hi all, was wondering anyone upgrade these and what are their opinions? Worth the time to install for daily driver or just helpful for track cars. Or should just got with a full r34 transmission 6 speed swap. Are the lsd really neccessary with horse power over 600hp? Thanks
  9. Hi all, Been working on my hks ss turbo setup and making around 540hp without doing a 2.8L stroker upgrade. I feel this is a safe level with the weak link rod screw bolts I heard. What is everyone else putting out safely? I’m running 1.4 bar right now max on 98. I think with the tomei stroker kit I will be able to max the turbos out at around 650hp crank safely. My friends putting down 525whp with the garret 7s and stroker kit already. What’s everyone’s thoughts? I have added my first dyno runs yesterday that I recorded. Curve is super smooth with horse power delivery with twins. Thanks
  10. Yes that sounds right. Cars currently in the shop for the engine work. Will need to remeasure .. but yes I think I must be targeting 45cm from fender.
  11. I think last I checked it was 35cm from fender to wheel center. I heard u can go up to 45-48cm before handling his impacted. But I need to check again. I know I was about 1.2 cm off being close to max recommended.
  12. Thanks for the info. Didn’t know I had aftermarket control arms already? Will talk to my garage. What brand would u recommend if I want to play around with my camber more? I would think my camber is around stock level right now or more negative now due to lowering with coilovers. I will be lower her again 1.5 cm to get some more. also why does everyone like to remove the hicas system? Is it because most don’t work properly anymore or ppl just don’t like them. Mine is functioning as it should be right now. thanks for the good info
  13. Great discussion guys. I just have coil overs in my car right now. Ride is pretty stiff and everything feels very precise and accurate when hitting the corners. I started off with a high level and kept specimen. the only item I feel I might need to adjust is my camber with control arms or a kit as I might want to tuck in my rims more so there is no rubbing. Otherwise I have not thought too much into it as quite happy with the setup. I think the bushings are all good still. My motor is currently out now but I have got a nismo front strut bar to install. So that should help with body roll in front. added a photo of what I started with before the modding or let’s say modernization of parts started. 😂
  14. Hi all, other than coil overs - anyone running rear sway bars and other suspension upgrades? what does everyone recommend to improve the car handling? How about control bar upgrades etc. photo from vspec performance. thanks
  15. Hi, has anyone painted or ceramic painted their turbo inlet pipes to match their painted intake manifold? Anyone have photos. I’m currently ceramic painting my valve engine covers and intake manifold bayside blue and was wondering if I should paint my inlet turbo pipe also? Or might just stick to my plan before and get a fully built titanium intake made… but that’s going to take 3 months anyway. My engine will be out of the car next week. Thanks
  16. Yeah talking about the ones on the rear bumper… these ones are easy to get from top secret. The rear bumper ones are impossible. A friend of mine was selling his for 3500 aud. shocked no one replicates them.

  21. Yeah that’s even tough. I mean we aren’t even really allowed to upgrade our rims in hk. Hence not a lot of shops that can do the work.

  23. Yes hoping someone had a stock r32 around to make up the pipes and then fit to that car … then send to me. If u know what I mean.
