Thanks for info on front hubs. Will take my chances with rears.

As I mentioned, have been told from several knowledgable people on here that hub assemblies are around 2.5kg lighter each...

& I'm sure I've read somewhere (correct me if I'm wrong) that removing x amount of unsprung weight is equivelant to removing something like twice the amount of sprung weight. e.g. Removing 5kg unsprung is similar to removing 10kg sprung.

People get all excited about losing 5kg (or less) weight from c/f bonnets, etc so I think it's worth it. not expecting miracles but it all helps. People also pay HUGE money for lightweight wheels, companies like Porsche spend HEAPS developing carbon/ceramic brakes all to reduce unsprung weight...

Did it work? i want to swap R34GTR rear hubs onto my r34GT lmk asap

Im wanting to know as well but what i have come across so far from mixing and matching hubs and axles. is...

R32,33,34 (GTR) hubs are 32 spline i also know the R33gtr and R34gtr hubs are interchangeable but im not so sure about R32.

The NA 300ZX is 29 spline hub which fits into just about any silvia or skyline thats not GTR  but the 300ZX(TT) is 32 spline like the (GTR).

Another option to look into is the Stagea RS four (AWD). The Stagea RS four(AWD) also uses the same wheel hubs as the R33/34(GTR) so..  if they do bolt onto the GTST knuckle then you have all these other options to pick from.

i didnt really awnser the question but hope this info helps

im doing a 350Z LSD conversion on my r34 rn. I have everying but i found out the 350z Rear hubs don't bolt onto my rear  knuckles but they are also 32 spline. i was just thinking wether or not the r34 GTR hubs fit before i have to buy them and find out lol.

daymn i just realised im way too late this was from 2003

  4. Hey just wanting to know if a R34 gtr wheel hub will bolt onto a R34gt rear knuckle?

I am doing a 350z lsd conversion and I came across an issue with the rear axles fitting into the wheel hub as the spline count is different. I think the r33/4 (GTR)wheel hubs are 32 spline while the standard 3x2 rear axles are about 28,

the 350z rear axles I’m using are also 32 spline so I don’t see why it won’t fit apart from where the hubs bolt onto the knuckle

I am not 100% sure about any of this and would like some info before I go mix n match and help would be appreciated.🙏

OK, that explains it. The auto NAs are not something that even enter my thinking 99.9% of the time.

If you put a small turbo box into it then you could use an appropriate speedo sender in that and connect to the dash. The caveat there is that I have no idea if the calibration of the dash would be even close to correct. It might not even work. I do not know how the diff mounted speed sender works, and there is every possibility that it is different to the signal generated from the gearbox mounted sensors.

I would suggest hooking an oscilloscope up to your speed signal from sender to dash and recording the waveform at some known speeds.

yea that might be an issue the sensor in the diff is for both abs and speedo same with the 350z diff except the 350z diff has 4pin connected while the r34 one is 2 pin.
