  2. if your trying to improve fuel economy I have looked into this too. Most people i have spoken to get 300-350kms per tank around town so in my case thats what I'm getting, so I am going to save my money in the o2 sensor departmant. I wish I could get better than that! good luck.

  4. I am wondering what type of tune my car has been steup for. I had a look at the os giken gears and exhaust is retard 4 increments and inlet is adv 6 increments does this sound right to you guys? What sort of effect would this have on the tune. I have read that inlet is normally around 2 increments this seems very different. The car goes really well just interested if it is setup to bring on boost or what? mods rb26, exhaust, filters ,PFC 15psi, os cam gears.

  6. Damn you just beat me to it I was reading thru all the posts to make sure no one had already suggested it! I once had a split in my silicone connector for the FMIC and it was the same problem as you were having. It can be hard to tell with all the induction noise and revs etc. you keep looking for more boost and it is doing it, its just not getting thru to the inlet manifold. well done.
  7. I reckon this is my next car, has anyone looked into the claim that the 350gt is slightly higher output than the aus 350Z. or was this before we got the 221kw 350Z. cheers
  8. Yeah I get 15-16 L/100kms in city driving but on the freeway I can get 11L/100kms I had my PFC retuned to get some better economy but they are just thirsty beasts I think. It depends on how it is tuned too I think my car is nearly always on boost with the cam gear setup it has, so low down punch is excellent. I think my previous tune was very rich to compensate for a poor fuel pump so when I replaced it the car ran quite rich with the extra scope of the pump. maybe this is whats goin on with yours? let us know what happens.
  9. Running 10's AFR will not help power at all you could easily be loosing 20~Kw right there. could be a start. If the tune is done right there is no need to run it so rich it just waste's fuel and robs power. good luck with sorting it out.
  10. yeah your ecu could be going into safe mode if there is a problem somewhere eg fuel pump stuffed. Or is your intake pipes going soft and sucking shut causing a big restriction
  11. Yeah I had my car dynoed there recently (very happy with the service) but it seemed a little low on the power readout but same deal good power curve and ARF's. It aint the coolest weather at the moment and that can be like 10-15 kw there. Maybe there dyno is a little on the low side.

  15. Yeah I was looking at the r34 gts frount suspension the other day and it Looks the same as my r33gtr setup (in particular the upper control arm) Can anyone confirm that it is exactlly the same? thanks.
  16. Very hard to say could be alot of things, Like any power loss problem check boost and fuel and timing. Maybe the intercooler piping is leaking somewhere? Is the fuel fresh in the tank? It does go off after a while. It should not need a retune they dont just fall out of tune sitting there. good luck

  18. Yeah I just wonder if it is a feature to enable you to use either r32 or r33 o2 sensors (if they are different as I suspect) it is in my manual but in Japanese:( Cheers
  19. Ok I checked that out so what is the o2 reg in the functions screen do I have the o2 F/B turned on. but there is a setting under it?
  20. Ok so basically you would be checking for any voltage feedback into the o2 sensor. to make sure its not giving a false reading to the ecu-right? thanks
  21. Thanks for the help, the bias to chasis ground where is the best place to check this? Also I think the R32GTR and R33 GTR have different 02 sensors R32 is the smaller style nut R33 is Large style but the Power fc is for both r32 and r33 Does the 32 o2 sensor even work with power FC? This is the same as S13 early models (red top) have small style late models have large style nut eg (black top)
  22. Hey People, I have read up on the various o2 threads. I am trying to find out what readings your Power fc gives for the 02 sensor at idle and cruise conditions is it the same as the R33 gts 0-1V? This can be found in the etc mode under sw check Thanks also for a gtr with mild mods full exhaust cam gears PFC what sort of L/100kms are you getting Highway and city I get 300city and 350 Highway on a full tank (taking it easy) Thanks alot
  23. make sure they weld it i had to get my boot done twice and it is harder for them 2nd time around. $200 it cost me get it done well dont just go for the cheapest It looks the best tho nice and smooth- no wing
  24. if your setup cannot support 12 psi at those revs no matter what you set the boost controller to it wont do it eg turbo too small or exhaust too restrictive etc my 180 drops to 9-10psi at 7000rpm too. and i have the same controller. cheers
  25. Trust they are the best- the 2530 is old technology now they are a little limited on the power side but the trust keeps going with very similar response.
