    im with you tommO just stay off boost and it will be fine 5 mins ideling in the shed and it would be a gas chamber in there.

    Its something you dont want to get wrong---be carefull maybe better to get a mechanic if you new to it all.

    Try doing a compression test. my 180 was behaving weird checked everything then did the test, piston 4 was cracked.

    checked your fuel delivery? eg pump and fuel filter? You have probably already checked this. sounds like it doesn't like high load conditions. also sounds like some sort of sensor the intermittant nature of the problem.
