  1. all left channel speakers (front left and rear left) sound crackles only when played from CD Stacker. The head unit and CD Stracker are both JVC coincide with one another. If I play a CD or listen to the radio through the head unit, sound seems all fine.. This happens only when I run it off the stacker..... @J-Spec Imports: so if the cable from the stacker to the headunit are damaged, this problem can occur? Cheers all..
  2. WoooHOO!!! Done, after spending a good 4 hours I finally removed the "Child Restrain Thingy" and installed some new Sony 3 ways 6 1/2.. Will post some pics of it soon.. Thanks for all your help guys. @JAGR33: I removed the child restrain completely and read through the compliance once again...it is part of it so you will definitely need it..thats if the TOG units (Traffic Operations Group) won't pull you over and give you a canarie on your car

  9. First thing, this forum rocks and everyone helps.. just wanna say thanks to the ones who really helped me out I've got another problem... The damn compliance guys has placed the "Child Restrain" medal plate right over my speakers as seem from the pic I have attached. What can I do to it? they even weild the bolt below it so its hard for me to remove it.
  10. Hey Guys, I've got this big problem which troubles me. Just had my front door speakers installed 2 days ago with a new JVC head unit and CD stacker. When I switch on the radio both front speakers work fine and sound quality seems pretty good.. but when i change it on the head unit to CD, the left speaker distorts and crackles.. can't hear clearly but the right speaker seems ok?.. this is very weird as when set back to radio it seems to be fine.. HELP ME PLEASE..... Oh in case anyone ask, the speakers are 6 1/2" sony 3 ways.
  11. Okay, this is a NEWBIE question as i own my Skyline now for only 2 weeks.. There is a button on the left hand side of the driver's seat which said Snow/A-T/Power.. anyone know what the differences are? I leave mine on Power all the time. One more question.. with my turbo i left my car idling for 1 -2 minutes after a good run, the turbo then makes a clinking noise? is this meant to be? thanks all....
  12. best way is to keep a mag light right next to your seat guys.. so if the coppa's do a search in your car and found a mag light, what are they gonna do? what its a torch!.. mag light is much better than a machete, well that is if coppa's do a search in your car more likely you will be in less trouble than having a machete in your car! @Ronin 09, I live around there.. will be keeping my eye out on that car.. they are just jeolous people who can't afford a Skyline.
  13. cheers, thanks I will play around with the tray thing, hopefully I can match the carpet correctlyyy
  14. Hey all, Just recently purchased a GTST R33 93 model.. When looked at the back Tray, the rear speakers are covered?? I had to remove the rear seats and discovered that the Carpet Tray covers the rear speakers? is this meant to be? do I have to really cut holes in the tray when installing new speakers? thanks all.
  15. It happen to mine also. My electric antenna didn't come up at all. Do R33 require a specific type of antenna? or can you just go to your local JB Hi-Fi and pick a universal one? do they fit in?
  16. I know what you are trying to say DavidU.. Correct me if I am wrong guys, but there are 2 types of R33. Type-M and Type-S? Type-S has the crappy front, where as the Type-M comes with a lower front and side skirts?
  17. Sweet, thanks for the info
