  1. Hi guys, I have a friend that owns a stainless steel business who has the tools to make and supply me with hand-made 100% stainless steel gear knobs at a reasonably cheap price. Chrome, black chrome, and custom engravings may become available options later on. I would like to get some feedback and see whether people would actually spend a bit more money on a decent gear knob or would rather just buy a cheap one with some brand name that was thought up in China, because any of the good brand gear is too expensive. Most of the cheaper GK's that you might pick up from say Autobarn or Repco are usually a metal such as aluminum, which is very light-weight and fades/scratches quickly. This is what happened to mine and was the reason for making my new GK. Not only does my product look slick and simple, which is what most people want these days, but it gives the driver a more solid feeling gear change. My gear knob weighs 202g as opposed to the old one which weighed only 80g yet has exactly the same dimensions. That is 2 and a half times heavier. I suppose that like jewelry, a good factor in determining the quality is the weight/solidity of the product. So far I have only seen the TRUST G-REX stainless steel gear knobs and some NISMO variants that are actually stainless steel, but unfortunately they cost upward of $100 each. I have noticed that people on SAU often need a GK and are willing to pay say $40. Why not pay a bit more and get good quality, knowing it will last longer as it is quality steel?! Until I get a response but I cannot say exactly how much they will cost, but it will be more or less around the $60 mark. Don’t forget the cost of stainless steel is much higher than that of the cheaper metals. So far I know that they only screw onto r33’s. I am soon to try r32’s and 34’s but am certain it will be the same fit for most gear sticks. If I could get at least 10 buyers to start, I could have them available in a matter of days. If many people are interested, then I will keep a constant supply coming in. Cheers -Serge

I told him kamikaza might have some spare stuff and he went over and picked up some schlick looking 18x10s Rays rims for his car.. Said the guy was real good to deal with.. Thats my 2c worth...
  9. Brett @ Performance Car Audio in Bayswater. He knows the line's inside out (had my dash and seats out in no time) and he doesnt mark the price up just coz your bringing him a skyline. Approx $200 for install of my Head-Unit, Amp, Rear speakers, all wiring and Sub. PM me for details.
  10. Manual - though i wish it was auto atm as my synchros in 2nd are ****ed!
  11. Look up other threads on the differences. If its still factory the front bar sets it apart from the rest. Looks mean, I prefer it over a s2 front bar as the foglights look ugly, and no im not saying that just coz i have a s1.5
  12. I paid $4100 @ Jappsport in sydney [w/out tyres] back in late jan this yr for a s1.5 33Gts-t.. Damn if only i knew how cheap the guys in keysborough did it for i wouldve gone there, damn it i live nearby..

  14. Yeah these shoes are dirt cheap for what your getting. Up until now i have sold most for $150, and thats pretty cheap considering the retail on a similar pair of Shox is $200-$300. And you wont find this style here. As i said a few bits n pieces here and there. Thats why their going so cheap. Will update on available sizes asap!
  15. Prices (plus postage/handling) are: $80 black/grey $90 white $90 black/red Unfortunately all the bigger sizes (10-14) have all sold. I only have sizes 7-9 in the shox, plus a few other bits n pieces which i will post when i get a chance. To make it more accurate I will note exactly what sizes and in what colours i have them available. Cheers
  16. I have a small number of shoes in different shapes/sizes which were purchased overseas. These shoes are all original and brand new. Below are pics of only some shoes, i will post the others later on. I cannot post a price yet as it varies slightly between colours. Please PM for more details. Cheers
  17. Just had my 33 serviced not even a month ago, and after 3 mnths of pretty crappy idling, apparently a vacuum leak near idle starter motor was fixed, afm cleaned, tps adjusted, and timing reset. Just last week it started ranging again from like 200-1200 rpm up and down as if i was stepping on and off the accelerator... I have a non-oil blitz pod filter, and a blitz 3inch exhaust. Any ideas on what else could be causing it in my particular case would be appreciated. Cheers -Serge
  18. Speak to Zoran @ Jappsport in Liverpool.. www.jappsport.com.au site is rarely updated but has all necessary contact details.. My r33 was complied there and trucked down to me in melb. -Serge
  19. Yep, the fuel tank is near the battery so dont drill anything into it.. Just got my system installed y'day at Performance Car Audio.. top job! He used those black cable tie thingys to hold it in place, and surprisingly it looks pretty neat and holds it in place tight...
  20. I had this exact problem! It turned out it that when the car was getting serviced, my mechanic noticed that there was a vacuum leak near the idle speed motor.. He fixed this and reset the timing, and i havent had any problems with idling/stalling since.
  21. My first car was an auto non-turbo VL.. It was a good first car, but after just 10mnths driving it i sold it and moved on. Not a fun car to drive as there just wasn't enough power and got sick of the auto too.. Not long before i got my manual r33, a mate bought a 96 s2 auto for about 19k on road.. The auto is good if you just wana cruise but you wont be happy just cruising all the time once you get the car and thats where manual is much more fun.. I drove his auto just last week and the tranny seemed really tight! but it made me kinda sleepy... Another thing, auto's are generally cheaper... End of the day, you have to drive both and decide for yourself...
  22. Hi all, Just purchased a Blitz LM SUSPower Filter for my r33, and no longer need my K&N. It has a 3" outlet/adapter, and chrome tip [see picture]. Has been used for about 3,000 kms on my 'line and previously on my VL for about 6,000 kms. Usage = approx 10,000kms. I am selling the filter with the adapter to suit rb20/25det, and a K&N oil/cleaning kit.The adapter retails for about $20 at autobarn, the K&N kit [99-5000] around $30. Checked last week and the pod filter retails for $119.00 [RR-3003]. Note: Metal tip is fairly scratched but filter works fine. [Pic 1 + 2 are off my old car, and pic 3 + 4 are current shots.] Total Package Cost= $170 Sale Price = $100 + Postage Please PM me if interested. Cheers, -Serge
