  1. I chose a bad time to buy, at the time there was no gtst's for sale in NSW and my options were qld, vic, or sa and not the greatest examples or too far out of my budget. Ended up picking this one from adelaide sight unseen and got a bit stitched up as you could expect but i dont fully regret it, its just a shame people cant be more transparent in this day and age.
  2. Completely know where you're coming from. Its a double edged sword because I want to go to events and see cars because it would bring me a lot of excitement in high school and the P plater glory days being able to see a bunch of sick cars in one place but as the cool cars become unjustifiably expensive and all people can afford to modify and bring out is regular traffic cars it all becomes a bit less exciting.
  3. Thread is a bit old but figured id give my input anyway just incase. Have had lots of water problems in my R32 and was getting sick of wet tools in the boot and water filling up half my taillights. I ended up finding that whenever my car had been repainted they didn't reseal the taillights to the body of the car so water was just flowing straight into the boot, this is amplified by all the water around the bootlid being directed down to the taillights so would get pretty wet whenever I washed the car or it rained. You could probably use silicone to seal them to the body but I think from factory they use a roll of automotive grade butyl rubber. Hopefully this helps you if that ends up being how the water is getting in on your car!
  4. $350 seems pretty steep for a wetpan event, you can definitely find cheaper ones there depending on the club running it. I have done 4 there now with both Driving Sports & Australian Drift Club with entry being $160 & $180 respectively.
  5. This must be what my stock height 32 looks like to stance guys
  6. Its definitely nice to still see skyline dedicated events happening in the car scene but I do believe its somewhat less populated as the cars become much rarer. The first event I went to in 2022 had a turnout of what seemed like 40ish skylines whereas the recent one I attended seemed to be a quieter turnout of around 20 cars.
  7. Definitely an ongoing project as they all are, unfortunately it's hard to do a lot of the longer jobs on it as I daily it to work every day which means no leaving it on jackstands in the garage for eons. It also adds its own challenges of old stuff constantly breaking from getting used more than usual which I have sadly come to find multiple times in this short period of ownership haha
  8. Yeah was my first "modification" the day it arrived from Adelaide. Had the set of them sitting around from my S15 in 2020 and fate would have it that I finally end up in the right car for them 😋
  9. Went through this pain last week when my FUCA snapped and had to change one for the first time, im glad I had a friend with me otherwise I think I would've struggled to get it back together. It ended up with me standing on the hub to push it down while he was trying to whack the bottom of the shock back onto the spindle 🤣
  10. Hey guys, I have dipped my toes into the pool of skylines finally and figured I would get amongst the forums and make an introduction post! My name is Callum, I'm from the north side of Sydney, and I am now 6 months into owning my 1992 R32 GTS-T (already having half of that time off the road in true nissan fashion). It is originally an AH3 car but at some stage of its life it has been resprayed in and out in TH1 with (in the sellers words) extra purple, parked next to an actual TH1 car it is a fair bit lighter in colour. It has also had the original RB20 swapped out for an RB25DET NEO which I presume to be out of a Stagea going off the AWD sump that has been sealed up. I won't go super into detail with mods as I want to create a build thread post soon. Unfortunately the car seems to have had a hard life as many of these have being previously a cheap sub 10k car, and I have barely any history on it so if anyone happens to recognise the car or thinks they may have any history I would LOVE to hear it as I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to car history, the seller had it roughly since 2020 I believe and was from Parramatta area if that helps. Look forward to being a part of the community, I have been to 2 SAUNSW events already (one being in 2022 prior to ownership, and once more a few weekends ago) so you could say I am not brand new to it but can definitely be more involved via the forums! (side note: I am pretty new to forums and struggled to attach pictures of the car, is there an easier method than having to have the pictures on facebook and copying the link from there? would love to know for future reference cheers!)
