  1. Hey all, It's been a bit since I have been able to update. I pulled the fuel pump, first off it was a "universal" pump and the strainer was very clogged, and it was folded over on itself. I replaced the fuel pump and all is well.... No more stalling.
  2. It sounds like something else is buzzing in response to me moving the TPS. I will do these checks when I can and get back to you. Thanks for the info.
  3. I removed the IACV, cleaned it and reinstalled. I found a video on youtube that helped with the whole process, the guy then said the idle needed to be set, so the process was to get the vehicle up to operating temperature, unplug the TPS, set the idle screw in the IACV so the RPMs were around 600, then plug the TPS back in. After I reinstalled the IACV, the car started (because, it was a cold start), once it warmed up, the car died, I adjusted the idle screw to see if that helped anything, it did not, I had to wait about 3-5 minutes, then the car would start back up. Only to shortly cut out, and only crank. I loosened the TPS to see if adjusting that would do anything, and when I would rotate the sensor clockwise, there was a humming noise, but it would go away when I got the sensor in the horizontal position. It only made the hum noise with the key on. What do you guys think? 20250414_172604.mp4
  4. I unplugged the O2 sensor, the problem did not resolve itself.
  5. with the car running (runs fine when temp is cold), I unplugged the MAF and the car stalled. I have already cleaned it a week ago. I unplugged the O2 sensor from the left side of the vehicle, and the car was still running. I let it idle for about 5-7 minutes and shut it off, to see if it would restart, and it did not. It cranks but doesn't start after engine temp gets up to normal range. I still need to look at the coolant temp sensor, is this one at the top or bottom of the radiator? Or is it one of the sensor threaded into the T-stat housing?
  6. Yes, me too!!!! I need to find a something that has all the abbreviations for what these cars have LOL
  7. Dang..... that is some good info. Thank you. Yes, I plan to do some troubleshooting before I actually just throw parts at it. I was doing some investigating on parts, just to get a head start, if wiring and stuff all looked good.
  8. I will check this as well, and get back to you.
  9. IACV, (Intake Air Control Valve)?? Sorry, what is a BOV? and I believe it is a stock ECU/MAF. So, by removing it, just unplug it or take it out completely?
  10. Hey all, The skyline I have is stalling when the engine is at normal operating temp. When starting it while it is cold, it'll run just fine. I have replaced the battery (bad cell), I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and clean the MAF sensor. Any other suggestions?
  11. Thanks for all the information on this. I tried ordering the parts from Amayama website and all 3 Solenoids are discontinued and not available. Does anyone have any other websites to suggest that I could find the parts? Separate issue-- I will start a new thread, but basically the vehicle is stalling when warmed up.
  12. My plan is to replace both Shift Solenoids A and B, and good idea on the Torque Convertor Solenoid as well.
  13. I mean, I am always taking donations for a newer model!! If you'd like to sponsor me. I would gladly get something else!! LOL
  14. Interesting. Great info. thank you. Give a few days to get that name plate. I have a busy life most weeks. I will be in touch.
  15. Kinda something I have been thinking about. To be honest, we bought it already driving like that. So there's no telling how long it actually has been driving like this. Hopefully damage is too bad when we drop the pan. I am having a hard time finding a site that sells the solenoid for the 5 speed auto, do you have any suggestions?
  16. That'll be most likely down the road... LOL
  17. This was a huge help. We followed the steps, although shifting into 2nd was actually into 3rd for us, and 1st was into 2nd ( steps 9 and 11) . The long flash was the 4th flash. So shift solenoid A is possibly the culprit. Is this inside the transmission itself? Or is it accessible by just front the pan? Or is it bolted to the outside of the transmission? Thanos for your help everyone
  18. Are there any indicators that the vehicle is in limp mode? Any dash light, or something. Or is it just lack of acceleration?
  19. Thank you, this will keep me busy for a bit. I will update progression.
  20. Gotcha, I mean that is at least good to hear. Are there signs, or troubleshooting tips to make sure the transmission is operating properly?
  21. Well thats probably not gonna happen right away. LOL
  22. Hi all, coming to you from the USA, My son purchased a 93 Skyline GTS25 NA. I will be honest..... it's slow..... it seems to have decent top end, but there's no punch when flooring the gas pedal. Also, I have noticed that I can't really feel the transmission shifting while driving it, and I don't feel a definitive downshift when punching it while driving at speeds. Is this a normal thing? What are the normal characteristics of this transmission? My sons question: How can I make it faster? Thanks all.
  23. My son recently purchased a 93 Skyline GTS25 (NA), I am hoping to get some insight as to what potential this car has. I have auto mechanical experience, and I am capable of working on this vehicle, but I know nothing about it. Where's the best site to purchase parts (maintenance, repair, upgrades)? What kind of upgrades are available? Thanks again and I look forward to any information that you all have to offer! Darrick
