  2. As a Huge f1 fan i have been keeping tabs on the silly season. For 2004 there are only really 2 seats left. 1 at minardi and 1 at jordan. I think Zsolt Baumgartner will be at minardi and Ralph Firman will stay with Jordan. Id say there is no chance of the montoya leaving williams before the start of 2004 season possibility. As much as i am a huge fan of montoya i dont think he will take any secrets away with him from Williams, apparently he has never been the most proactive driver in the R&D side of the sport. 2005 and will be very interesting. I think webber will go to Williams. The newest speculation that weber will go to Renault with Alonso in 2005 but i just dont think that an aussie will be the most attractive driver commercially for the renault bosses. Half of williams race team are already australians and my feeling is that is where he will end up. Ralf may not even be there beyond 2005. Either way i think the sooner webber gets out of jaguar the better. Un fortunatly with ford decreasing funding, jaguar now relying on a pay driver and Jaguars direct competition getting stronger i think their days are numbered.

  5. It has been clocked at 110kph. skylinefreak_r33, $150. Im selling the chassis with the muffler and header pipe. A set of shocks for the car is worth over $100. And i will even give it a good clean for you!
  6. My old Silvia got broken into at Westfield hurstville but they couldnt start it because of the immoboliser so they just decided to rip the crap out of every wire under the dash. First and last time i go to that hole. I have been parking at westfield eastgardens for years and have never had a problemn (so far).
  7. Here you go. As i said its a bit dirty but nothing some RC car cleaner wont fix. I also have all the instructions and parts lists and so on. The attatchments thing isnt working. PM sent.
  8. there is no filter on a manual box. The bottom drain plug is magnetic to collect metal particles though.
  9. Nitro TC3 Chassis (slide carb version), No electrics or motor. Has had about 15 tanks run through it. Looks a little dirty but all the suspension/running gear is perfect. Very quick car with a decent motor. Kit is at least $690 brand new. Asking $150. *SOLD*
  10. I am 21 today so i guess my days of loitering are over. Then again i have always found there are alot better places to be late at night other than at servos or ovals.
  11. For tyre shine type stuff meguires has this purple gel, not sure what its called. It is the best tyre shine i have used.

  13. A common reason for cars needing to crank for a while before firing is either leaky injectors or a leaking fuel pressure regulator, i saw it on a r32 a few weeks ago with a hard start problem, but since you have a newly rebuilt engine it probably istn the problem.
  14. Sure its the starter motor? Belts sometimes will only squeel when cold. Also the belts can sometimes stretch a little when they are new and may need to be re adjusted. All the posts on this thread sound like the problems would be solved with a little adjustment on the belts.
  15. You arent ****ed in a way. I have done it on the ground a few times and have always been able to get it off with a 17mm spanner, although its a long one, but if you cant then just fill through the gear stick on a Gtst. It ussually takes about 2L.
  16. a tyre shop jacked my r33 up on the front sills. It popped both my front guards out and flattened the ride with the jacking point marks in it. I didnt notice it until a few days later so they wouldnt fix it. I have since noticed alot of skylines with the same, bottom of the front guard popped out slightly.
  17. i ended up just retarding the timing a tiny bit with the crank angle sensor trick, Pinging gone and cant really notice any loss in power.

  19. I want to fit this engine to my r33, It has alot of low down torque. My only question is does anyone think i would have to modify the firewall and will the standard R33 turbo be adequate?

  21. I have a problem with a r32 rb20det pinging at high RPM/engine load. The car has a mines ECU, cat back exhaust, running 10psi, standard intercooler and not really maintained all that well if at all in its 130,000k life. Basically i want to have a go at fixing it before i send it off to a workshop. I have a few things i want to try and just want to know if anyone else has any idea. 1. Check spark plugs. (maybe the coil packs could be getting on)? 2. Check fuel pressure regulator for a leaky diaphram. (dont have a Guage to check fuel pressure). 3. Try moving the crank angle sensor a tiny bit anti-clock wise then drive it and see if pinging has gone. (no timing light). 4. What sort of millage do the rb20det fuel injectors generally start to have problems? Anyone have any other ideas on some simple tests or procedures to try before the step of going to a workshop.
  22. If i was you i would first test the wiring, if that is fine its time for a new knock sensor, and yes a faulty knock sensor can cause a missfire.
  23. One of the scariest car related things that has happened to me was driving an 1966 aston martin DB6 when a front wheel came off at about 80kph (hubs were fitted incorrectly). Id hate to think what could happen at a decent speed on a busy road. Thiefs are one of the lowest forms of human life.
  24. Surely having the car in gear and hand brake on with my 22" snap on breaker bar and a pole on the end will be enough to undo the crank bolt.
