  1. I just did the belts on my r33, they have been rooted since i got the car 10 months ago. I needed new tyres within a few weeks as they were already worn. I think import places find a loop hole with the fitting tyres and just fit any used australian tyre. and i dont have any child restraints. Used car dealers are so dodgy.
  2. why is there an increasing amount of these bullshit waste of time threads these days? I mean people asking what car they should get when they really couldnt even afford an old shitter un registered VB commodore.
  3. It is fine to fill through the gear stick hole on a gtst. You really should try and take the fill plug off the side though as this will give you the correct level.

  5. I know this isnt really the place to ask but i have to change the timing belt on a 95' toyota supra non turbo. I think its the 2jz engine? Just wondering if anyone here has done one before and has any advice. How much of a bitch is it compared to a rb timing belt? What size socket is the harmonic balancer? Anyone know any torque settings? Anyone know any good supra forums? the ones i can find are fairly useless
  6. I am selling my Team associated Nitro TC3. This is a high end Nitro Rc car which has been very competitive for me at sydney races. The car has a few minor bumps and scratches but nothing out of the ordinary. I am selling it with no electronics, Servos, reciever, battery. Selling with: 1. OS 12tr rear exhaust engine. had about 1 Litre of high quality Trinity 15% nitro fuel only run through it and after run oil always used. 2. 3 bodies 3. Origional box with Team associated Tools and all instructions and paper work. 4. 2L of 15% nitro trinity fuel 5. A few little spares or what ever else i can find for it to throw in. This is a high quality RC race car and has only been on the market a little over 14 months so spare parts are still very easy to get and many aftermarket hop ups are available. The kit retails for over $800 and the engine for $300+. Asking $500 neg.

  8. clean_vl, you dont need to change your air filter and fuel filter every 10000. Plugs can last alot longer as well.

  10. About a month ago i got a quote on the works package from whiteline. I got quoted $1883. Today when i rang i got told $2023 and that they cant even guarentee that they willbe able to supply the shocks within the next 6 weeks. This is also mentioned in another thread here somewhere.
  11. Unplug the mirror that doesnt work. Use a test light or a multimeter and make sure power is geting to every pin on the plug. If one or more of the pins isnt getting power then back probe the actual wires into the switch. If you find a damaged wire somewhere and dont want to open the looms and so on up just by pass the wire by soldering a new one on. Dont unplug the door jam plug, as the topic says its a fkn bitch... Ask in the MAINTENACE section, you might get some better info.
  12. yeah, its more of a cosmetic thing really. the chassis rails are fine.
  13. Those belt numbers are very similar. The last 4 numbers are the the size of the belt in mm, those measurments are no more than 10mm different than the ones above which can ussually be made up by the adjustment.
  14. strange question here. I was about to jack my car up the other day and noticed the jacking points along the rails of the car have been damaged by a previous owner jacking the car incorrectly and basically popping the jeneral area there in. I was thinking of just folding the rail bit back out but does anyone know how much a beater would approx charge to fix it? Just worried about rust although not alot of paint is gone.
  15. Genuine AMG twin exhaust tip. Worth $600+ new. Will suit 4 cylinder. A few very minor scratches on the bottom, can probably be polished out. $150 ono.

  17. Yeah i have a white r33 and the rear bar gets filthy, basically just lighly polish the rear bar about every 2 weeks.

  19. I am interested as just in the last few days a mate of my i was planning on going down to Melb with for the GP has had to pull out already. Would also be good fun id say with some fellow F1/skyline fans. I have been to the last 2 Indys on the gold coast, General admission in 01' and grandstand in 02'. My experience was it was worth the extra money for the Grandstand because you always have somewhere to just sit and watch, if it undercover it is especially handy in bad weather (as i found out last year at indy). With just the general admission you can find some good little spots but you ussually have to battle with about 150,000 other people to get them. It can also be quite hard to follow a race with general admission if you have no big screen in view. Does anyone remember Mark Skaife rolling his R32 GTR at the adelaide F1 gp in the very early 90's. those were the days, rolling GTRs and Senna racing F1.
  20. This may sound stupid but try Lubricating the hinges on the door and the check strap pin. I has an s13 that over some bumps and so on there would be a really annoying high pitched squeek. It ended up been the pin in the check strap.
  21. I am going to be changing all my belts very shortly. AC, Alternator etc, and was just wondering if anyone has the part numbers for aftermarket belts as most spare parts places dont have listings and i dont want to have to take the old belts off and take them in if i dont have to. Also does anyone have any tips precautions i should note? Does the Fan ans shroud have to come off?
  22. I got my old Silvia Q Auto to 210kph! Was on a slight downhill slope though. I was getting the death wobbles at 170. So foolish. I have grown out of that stage now. Oh and the R33 is limited.
  23. You have to take the whole door trim off to get to the plug, that isnt difficult though.
