im paying $3300 and im 19 with a 97 r33. When i bought the car i was concidering an r32 GTR, a few quotes i got were around the $22,000 mark (thanks JUST CARS).

The wheels with the best tread should always be at the front. Its industry practice and a safety thing more than anything. Steering and braking are done on the front wheels so thats where you want your grip to be. Most people dont have to worry about oversteer because the dont drive hard enough to force the car to oversteer. Obviously if they are different sizes front/rear you leave them.

I dont really agree about skyline drivers been more reckless than the general population. Whenever i am out at local cruise spots like down in wollongong or some of the areas in sydney it is generally the skyline drovers who seem the bestbehaved. Its always seems to be the idiots in old VLs or the little turbo charade darting in and out of traffic. I think most people with a decent skyline generally value their car or cant afford to crash it, possibly because someone driving a done up charade or swift will be paying about 1/3rd what a young skyline driver does for insurance. Then again i think there are stupid drivers everywhere you look. The type of car doesnt seem to matter. Id say we here would just notice skylines alot more.

i Have a 2 and 5/8 size autometer boost guage ready for installation. I want to put it on the a Pillar but also dont want to get defected. Who can you contact to get the relevant info on whats legal and whats not other than the rta?

u get 1/2 a tank to last 300k's? whats the secret? i only get 350k's a tank in the city.

I Have a HSK type 1 turbo timer. It does 0-100kph, 0-200kph, 0-300kph. 100m, 200m 400m. 100kph - 150kph amongst a few others. Doing 0-100 i have gotten 4.7 down a big hill (be good if it was on flat ground). On flat ground around 6.6seconds to 100. Id say it is moderatly accurate. It reads of the wheels speed though.

i found some insurance so im not selling now anyway. I know more than anyone you dont get money back on cars. Just wanted to get a bench mark figure.

Im going to have to sell my r33 because of lack of any insurance reasons, I need $31,000 to get my money back. Its a 11/96 white series 2 R33. It has a sunroof and a Navtrak car monitoring security system, Avs wheels. it has 53000kms and 7 month rego left. All mecanically Perfect. Does anyone reckon id get that kind of money for it?

i got done doing 56 in a 50 zone. Cop was hiding in the bushes next to the road. Came roaring out with sirens on like i had just robbed a bank, bloody wanker. This is a long straight road as well with no houses on either side, very stupid.

youre mechanic didnt try very hard. Most nissan Dealers do skyline parts.

I haave NAVtrak, It is a Brant developed Alarm system i think. I have a turbo timer connected with it as well and its fine, there is a way of letting the alarm know you have a turbo timer but the max time is 3mins before the fuel cut works.

i worked at coles from age 14 to 18 and saved up enough money to buy a nice silvia Q. that was in 99'. last november i found a nice 97 r33 for $32,000. Got $9000 for the trade on the silvia, borrowed $20,000 and had about 3 grand in savings to use, the rest of my savings went to on road costs and so on. Im a 4th year apprentice mechanic at a mercedes dealership. I work 7:30am till 6:30pm monday to friday and have a job i work on sundays at a repco. I Make about $600 a week and live at home, so paying of tha skyline isnt to hard but i get damn tired and not much time to enjoy things like the car.

Club troppo is defiantly a good place to find a easy girl. Not much quality though. Its exactly the same as down south in wollongong. Bad Bad bad Music and if you look slightly ethnic i they will send you away to the wog club somewhere near by. I had a bad experience last week at a club in north sydney called the GreenWood. I was with a group of about 5 friends, 2 complete aussie herritage and me, Aussie as anyone but with an italian last name, another friend who is aussie but with italian back ground and a friend with a jewish back ground. We are all your tipical aussie guys though. Anyway the point been the bouncer let 3 of us in including me, then the Italian looking guy and the jewish guy were refused. Upon asking the bouncer why his response was "i dont know you 2", then anther reponse "Your a wog, and your a jew and i dont want you in here". We got the manager over and his response was "i have no control over the scurity". After a fair bit more of heated argument we were all escorted of and threatened if we didnt leave. The thing is i dont think you can do a thing about it. That bouncer will be sorry one night though when he does that and that person comes back with a gun or something. I was a regular at that club, not any longer. Will never go back. I guess they got what they want. Sorry this wasnt about Skylines. (we drove on one there i guess, and some other car).

i get about 350k's to a tank around town while occasionally giving it sum. Highway up around 450k's. not all that great.

well i only have 2 on my car now. I busted 2 guys stealing my wheels and they got away with 2 of them. Luckily a friend of mine had 2 wheels that looked similar as well so i put them on the front, except they are 17's so it looks a bit odd. Need to get a new set of wheels. Damn thieves.

im driving up to northern NSW in a few weeks time in my skyline. I use Optimax 99% of the time but am worried that during the drive i wont be able to get 98ron fuel. Anyone have any suggestions or experience of using octane booster or somthing to compensate, or if there really is any need?

I have AVS wheels on my car from when i got it from the yard. Are AVS worth anything or just a generic brand?

No, the waterpump is a decent sized job.

I have Navtrak in my car. seems to work well, i am tracked over the whole Vodaphone network. Customer service hasnt been great from navtrak though. The alarm was $1950.
