  1. Standard rims good condition, tyres worn. $50
  2. My mate picked up a V35 coupe today. Unreal car to drive. Very refined, the transmission is better than an S2000 in my opinion. The brembos pull its up great as well. If your after something with a bit of luxury but still a sporty drive then this is definatly a car worth looking at. Its definatly light years ahead of the R34 GTT although not necessarily more fun. I really cant believe that nissan hasnt sold the V35 here in Aus as like a premium coupe to go against the Monaro and RX8 and the like?
  3. You must not be draining enough oil out or something. I have done hundreds of oil changes on Rb25s and its always very close to 5L.
  4. Nah, no idea. Its the origional Nissan unit, thats all i know. Its a 2003 v35 coupe, thats all i know.
  5. You will get around 13 to 15L per 100km. Maybe 8L per 100k on the highway.
  6. I think the cars this year look like SEX! Look back to say the F2002 compared to the new Ferrari 248 and compare the difference with all the small aero tweaks and details. Williams has taken the air box size rules to the extreme and simply made the airbox as small as possible for the V8 and simply added a shark fin sort of thing to the back of the air box, i hope it doesnt fly off in a crash! The Mclaren has unbelievable front suspension and has gone to a no keel configuration which a few other teams have also gone to with the new cars but none seem to have done it as neatly as Mclaren. The Toyota and the Midland cars are the only dull ones in my opinion which seems to be pretty much right up Toyotas ussual design phylosophy on all its road cars. I think Mclaren will still be up there this year. I have a feeling it will once again be Renault, Mclaren and Ferrari fighting for the championship. Unfortunatly i think Williams and Webber will struggle this year but as long as they beat Super Aguri it is ok Speaking of Super Aguri, check out their web page I hope their web development isnt a relfection of their up comming car development!!! http://www.superaguri-f1.com/

  9. Is anyone going to point out to this guy all the stuff that is wrong? Maybe the reason why all the hoses are cut? Not because of insurance but because an engine was just dumped in there! Surely tat car is next to worthless now.
  10. Anyone? I need this gone so i can buy another Skyline! Costs $7 for 160km's and chicks love bikes!
  11. I have been mucking around with Maya PLE but am finding it hard to find any good tutorials. What are peoples opinions on Maya compared to say 3DS max? and anyone know where to find some good tutorials other than on the Maya site?
  12. 2004 Aprilia RS125 Poggiali. (learner legal) This bike is one of only 10 in Australia in this limited edition colour. It was first registered in January 2005 and has a factory warranty until Jan 2007. Only 4500km travelled and is in as new condition and is fastidiously maintained. This bike is learner legal and is great fun and is still very quick for a learner legal bike. 12 months rego. The bike is located in eastern subrubs of Sydney. Pm me. $7500
  13. Try a place in St Peters called MacFix. They specialise in Mercedes Benz but they did a really good job repairing the door trims on my old R33.
  14. Be very very patient. R33 gts25t's are an absoloute pain to sell because it is such a saturated market. It took me 12 months to sell mine and i didnt get the best price for it in the end even though it was in very good condition.
  15. Im just after soem advice/opinions about an R34 GTT. I owned a lightly modified r33 for a few years but sold it about 12 months ago but after driving old bombs and playing with motorbikes since then i realise i miss the skyline too much. Im looking for a white R34 GTT manual and am looking at spening something in the region of 25 to 28 thousan dollars. I guess since i have been out of the look for a while and not reasing the forums often im not sure how the market it for the R34. I know i had major difficulties selling my R33 even though it was in mint condition and i lost alot of money on the car because when i bought it i was willing to pay a premium for a car in such good condition. Im not really prepared to do the same again. The R33 market has been saturated for along time now but what about the R34? Does the supply outwieigh the demand for one so its possibly to be quite picky for one? One of my major gripes with the R33 was it was really thirsty. I remember never getting better than around 16L/100k's for my fuel economy and id like to think with a newer spec engine the RB25DET neo was somewhat improved. Yes? No? Would people say the GTT would be a better car for taking to cub track days than an R33? I always preffered to get the most out of my suspension than spending money on the engine with my R33 but i could never fool myself into thinking it was a small agile car. The R34 looks smaller to me which i asume would be slightly better handling. What other significant chassis differences are there between the R33 and R34 and what is significantly different between the engines in both cars? Thanks all.
  16. What girl died? Im almost 100% sure that all the victims in Cronulla only suffered minor injuries. A friend of mine is a truck driver and was on the way back from melbourne today and told me he saw easily 100+ car loads of lebanese guys heading to sydney on the Hume and a Lebanese mate of mine told me that he had heard that a huge amount of people are comming up from Melbourne to help out their mates in Sydney. He basically warned me to be careful because i live in one of the effected areas. I really hope this is all hearsay and all comletley untrue. I really think this is the perfect opportunity for young Lebanese to help get rid of the stereotype thug image. Some sort of huge peaceful demonstration would do a world of good for their image and stick it to those fools that were at Cronulla last weekend moreso than going around bashing people. Somehow i dont think the car loads of people comming up from down south were on their way for purley peaceful reasons.
  17. I got the EXAct SAME FINE! I was parked in a quite back street in Zetland facing the wrong way. The street was only wide enough to park on one side but it was 2 ways. I was away from the car for 10mins at 11pm and there it was waiting for me. Some council ranger must have had very little to do at 11pm at night.
  18. I am a mechanic and i have done many skyline timing belts and to do it thoroughly it is at minimum a 2.5 hour job. Its also alot easier if you just remove the radiator which is only a 10 minute job in itself. Im also a believer in leaving the water alone if there are no signs of leaking. I have had the front covers off on skylines with 160,000ks + and the origional waterpumps were still as dry as could be. In saying that i have also replaces a few that were weaping at the 100,000k mark. I think it has alot to do with how often the coolant have been changed.
  19. Just an update all. Tested everything to do with ignition no avail. Then drained some fuel. The stuff was brown and had particles all through it! Cleaned the injectors today, flushed the tank, replace fuel filter. Missfire is cured. This was contaminated optimax so im going to try and pass on the costs to the servo involved. Still lost with the tacho though. Does anyone know how the tacho works on the r33? Is it just a change in resistance that directs the needle? If so it shouldnt be hard to remove the cluster, check the resistance and if everything seems ok it may be time for a new tacho. Although were is a wiring diagram and some test values available from?
  20. Just to let everyone know, the standard nissan timing belts are just BANDO belts. Most spare parts places and workshops generally regard Bando as a lesser quality option than say Gates or Bosch. (what evedidence they have ti prove this i dont know.) After replacing many many timing belts on skyline i have to say you are pretty much guarenteed equal quality between Nissan (bando), Bosch and Gates. So if you use any of these i would never worry about the quality of the timing belt. Bosch, Gates and Bando themselves are also a decnet bit cheaper than Nissan. This is sort of off topic or could be asked somewhere else but is there really such a thing as a performance timing belt? What qualitites does a timing belt need before it can be called a performance belt? 1. Higher heat resistance. (but how high a temp can a standard belt take?, your engine can only get so hot anyway, but i guess you do have friction heat from the timing gears). 2. Stronger teeth on the belt. (I can really only see this been an issue for a car that has harder valve springs or a car that runs incredibly high rpm, so it would be more of a track thing than something needed for a streetable skyline).
  21. Checked that. Seems fine. Also i dont think refitting the belt will help. Its intermittant. It idles perfectly and most of the time it drives perfectly so i doubt its the belt.
  22. I recently had a timing belt done on my 95 r33 gtst. About 2 days later the engine started to stutter under load. Thats the best way i can describe it. It stutters at about 4000rpm and although it is mostly under load it will do it very slightly in neutral. The problem with this is it is intermittant. It will happen 2 or 3 times a day and then go away. Its only just started today and i had run my car until the fuel level was very low. Im not sure if this could be the issue. Another problem i have is the tacho will intermittantly fail. The needle will just slowly work its way up the tacho while im driving it in incriments of about 500rpm regardless of what the engine is actually doing. And sometimes it works perfectly. Any ideas???
