  1. Yesv that was me-its been off the road for a while but up & running again
  2. I went to a garage first but since it had to go for the ID check at Dickson they said just get it done there-the ID check was interesting-waited for best part of an hour in a little room with lots of out of date mags .
  3. now that I've passed rego I'm out for a cruise to night
  4. daqniel my neighbours looking for dog-i'll check with her tomorrow
  5. I'm in the process of getting my GTR registered from NSW to ACT-3rd time lucky-no! The second set of wheels they have picked up again a tiny crack in the rim-fix that & I'm through(hopefully) things that were a problem: 1. clearance with exhaust-modified for height but still too low(its 100mm min with 4 people in it!)-suspension has been raised so it passed that but looks like a 4wd jacked up. 2. Child restraints-need these and the parcel shelf 3. sealed battery in boot (33) that says "sealed battery" 4. exhaust too loud-I changed the rear muffler to a quite one-passed the DB test 5. wheels-have to be as per door plague-my 18x10 were no good-3 of Jays 17x9 have passed with #4's hairline crack being repaired. 6. Things that passed: HKS airfilters, BOV (although factory), altered suspension aprt from height My experience was that it had to go through Dickson to get the ID check anyway and in the words of the inspectors "there are always tough on these sorts of cars"! Good luck
  6. These guys did some repair work on my Bimmer a few years back (resprayed bonnet) and it was terrible-there didnt even repaint the whole bonnet and the clear coat peeled within 18 months-since then I have used Kelley Body Works in Mitchell
  7. Thanks Jayce!
  8. Does someone have a set I can borrow for rego next week for a R33 GTR. Will compensate with a case of beer or $ for the trouble. Best to call 0408 810015 as the computer is at work. Thanks Wayne

  10. what are they off? Fit a 33 GTR?
  11. just had some made up for my brake calipers-these are a stick on template to paint over-there are available from Anysign in Fyshwick 62806433- ask for Cameron if any one is interested.
  12. having bought 2 skylines over the years- one local & one in NSW-my advice is to make sure everything is in writing and dont rush into it-do your homework 1st-whether its a dealer or private.
  13. Always get my tyres from Tempe-there know what there on about and do the best deals-worth the drive!
  14. Have to agree with earlier posts-stay away from Evo. We bought our skyline from them a couple of years ago-initially service was good but our last experience has sealed there fate. Had it there for a few weeks for sale on consignment but there didnt sell it. We picked it up and noticed the airbag warning light flashing (no problem before) so I asked them what happened-they said to bring it back and they would fix it-in the meantime we sold the car privately through the trading post. When I picked it up to hand over to the buyer they tried to charge me for a new airbag control box and commission for selling it! Go figure. Crooks I say.

  17. if the brute strength approach doesnt work (see above) you can get a rachet tool for filters-it has 3 arms that tighten when its turned -not cheap though-priced one at $64!
