The V Series Spotted Thread

Stop trying to be a hero. Get out of here. BACK ON TOPIC I still have not passed one, whilst I have been driving my 35. I did see a silver coupe (big kit) whilst walking through the city on Friday (looked ok, but not my thing). -

Skyline V35 - Stereo + Dvd + Sat Nav
Unique replied to Vev's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
LOL Frank, isn't that a crime yet? I have not driven a 35 with the twin piston front brakes, but they would want to be bloody good. I cannot forsee how they would be as good as the four piston brembos. Fade would have more to do with pad and fluids. Maybe Bobby (aka NISMO) can shed some light, having owned both? -
V-series For Sale Section?
Unique replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I agree this is needed. It would be nice if set up correctly, however if not then a sticky would do. -

Diy: Find Squeaks / Rattles From Centre Console
Unique replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I have not experienced any rattles or squeeks ANYWHERE, let alone from the seat, in the short time I have had the car on the road. I am 6'5 and my seat is at the lowest position too. Best of luck guys. Hopefully this is not a topic I will NEED to put into practice. -
Any Thoughts On The 350gt Build Quality?
Unique replied to jarthel's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Jarthel, I have read all of the topics that you have posted over the past week, and feel there are a few things that will greatly asssit you. For one, go to an import yard and have a good look at one in the metal, sit in it, go for a drive. Jump on g35driver.com and read read read, the information you get on there will be very useful. I think you will learn a lot more from research than asking a million questions (not that there is anything wrong with you doing that). Personally I have owned a many number of cars in all divisions and I consider the premium 350gt a luxury sports coupe. I find the build quality, fit and finish, on my vehicle to be as good as if not better than many of the euros. It feels looks and performs at a far higher level than expected. -
Assistance/advice Regarding Front Lip

Funny you should say that Warren, Tony actually personally delivered my memo, along with news of my parts being lost. -
Assistance/advice Regarding Front Lip
Unique replied to Unique's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Just quickly I contacted Riverside Infiniti as I was chasing up another item they still had outstanding, and they are a no go. Tony, unlike Jason would not even provide a quote on the chin lip as the item was too large to ship. Last time I use them! -
Assistance/advice Regarding Front Lip
Unique replied to Unique's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thanks for that Warren, greatly appreciated; certainly looks to be cheaper. I however cannot find if they ship to Australia. I attempted to sign up and in the info needed, you have to choose either US or Canada, neither of which are correct. But nevertheless that is exactly what I am looking for. I assume the paint codes are the same? I might shoot them off a message regarding shipping if i do not find anything else. -
Group Buy Of Carbon Fibre Roof Skin For V35 Coupe
Unique replied to jaik's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Because they still have not worked out how to do it correctly for those with a sunroof. I mentioned to the guy from Mastergrade on the g35driver forum of adding a rubber/plastic strip around the edge to finish it off around the sun roof, however I do not even know if that would solve the problem/look. It looks like a great product other than that. -
Hello everyone. I am currently looking for a front lip for the v35 coupe and was wondering if anyone could assist. I am only interested in getting plastic and it being painted in the OEM colour before it gets here. Looking on the japanparts website I have found a Nissan item that is called "Front Protector", is this the front lip? My second question is, what can I expect from japanparts, is this sourced directly from Nissan or of OEM quality? Sorry for the stupid questions, I thought it was worth asking the question before I spend $870.00 (postage inc.) Thank you.

You Want Parts Cheap And Quick?
Unique replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Ok, Jason has left, there is a post on G35driver.com from him. I ordered some parts through jason to be sent in two shipments (as they did not have everything), first shipment received, now when I follow up the second shipment I am basicially called a liar. Unless their game improves I am no longer a customer. Tony does not understand customer service. -

Are you sure Warren? I spoke with Jason last week and he did not mention that he was moving on. He is a good guy. -

Item:VOLK TE37 Condition: Exceptional Price:$4200 ono Fitment: 5x114.3 offset of +22 Location: Brisbane Contact:0404 833 656 or [email protected] Comments: These wheels are in exceptional condition (difficult to tell they are not new), and it is with regret that I must offer them for sale. These wheels come with the Volk centre caps and Rays valve covers. The wheels have a manufacture year date of 2007. Tyres are Toyo 245/35/19 and 275/30/19, with tread depth of approximately 80% (if not more). As you would expect they are very light and extremely well made.

I might be interested in a front lip too. Group buy anyone?

This is a very interesting topic. Nissan (international) obviously have a duty of care for the vehicle, however I would almost put money on it that Nissan Australia would distance themselves very quickly, attempting to state that they are a different entity. It would be interesting to delve into the legal holdings of TSB’s and if the work required to be completed by the Manufacturer? I do not believe that it would be unreasonable to have Nissan Australia undertake the work as an arm of Nissan (international). The point I would question is that if the repair did not take place, due to Nissan Australia’s non compliance, do they breech their duty of care? It will be an interesting discussion none the less and probably something that you may have to take up the chain. At the end of the day the dealership just wants to be able to bill it against something, if they can bill it back to Nissan then there should be no issue. Good luck and keep us posted.

Where is a good place to get the wheel nuts from? Anyone stock them in AUS?
-
Thanks for the input jaik, however I want full control over the iPod, I don't want to be playing around whilst on the move. At any rate I cannot do the aforementioned mod that you suggested, as I do not have, nore want the factory nav.
-
To have full control over the iPod via steering wheel and other controls, with text viewable on the LED display on the headunit. Maybe something like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-2006-I...sspagenameZWD1V
