  1. afaik Impul is a Japanese tuning house - so as for the build numbers, its not a genuine Nissan / rare factory model kind of thing. Still, a decent price for the package; inspect the car for usual signs of wear & tear / weak spots,, k's on the clock, take it for a drive, etc. I'd definitely be interested.
  2. lose the G http://www.kincrome.com.au/web/index.php very decent tools.
  3. PS - definitely option B as far as your image re screwing the ring down, it must go down as far as it can. that rubber ring actually comes off, so maybe it became loose / warped when you screwed it down the first time. needs to go in perfectly
  4. ah! now you can assume this is where your leak is coming from with the current 33 we've been working on, those two hoses on the right have their own plastic fasteners/clips - which im guessing are the standard fittings. i thought you had the same plastic clip fittings on the hoses, although you have the small steel hose clamps - which actually would have been a lot easier fitting/removing. The standard plastic fasteners were a real pain in the arse to remove. I presumed you might have damaged one of them which caused the hose to piss fuel. seeing as you have a pretty full tank its definitely possible for fuel to leak through the seal & locking ring if you havent done it up properly, and went driving around / fuel splashing all over the place in the tank - although it was still leaking when you fired the car up and just let it idle. i found that the locking ring is only a real prick to screw on when its not on properly. When i got it lined up perfectly (took me a few attempts), i was able to screw it on easily with my hands, and then give it a knock with a screwdriver and hammer to tighten it up with some force. Try re fitting it properly tomorrow and test her out good luck mate
  5. fark i wouldnt want to drive around with that! have you checked under the metal plate (in your boot) - is there any fuel around the plastic locking ring? the first thing that came to mind was the two hose connections (send and return) that sit on top of the tank (locked on by that locking ring) - maybe you damaged one of the connectors and its pissing fuel
  6. If you cant have Internode or any other ADSL service at your location like myself; Telstra cable is f**king brilliant - although a little expensive, unless you get a bundled deal including your land line. but fark me its fast. i wouldnt even bother with ADSL if it were available to me. it would be like going back to dial up!
  7. just got confirmed this part was definitely changed. would you guys think it'll be safe to bolt her all up and take it for a drive? ive got a feeling it just needs a bit of a good forced turn from the gearbox to come unstuck. Just dont want to break anything!
  8. not my car mate! i dont mind the front bar and reo mods, but trimming fans and modifying brackets shouldn't be necessary!!! being a mass produced product and/or rip off of a Japanese kit, you'd think they'd make these things right and to fit without too much stuffing around!
  9. yeah cheap just jap kit bolted staight in to my old 33 too!
  10. double post sorry site/posting speed is a little slow!
  11. yep
  12. been doing an fmic install today: highly agree! we've been modifyng brackets and other bits for a good 4.5 hours today to make things fit. With minimal tools for fabrication it can be challenging. conclusion; will never be buying cheap chinese shit again!
  13. collingwood are looking tough too
  14. i had a Jasma / 5 zigen 3.5" cat back & front pipe (with a bellmouth dump) on my previous 33, was very quiet down low but gave a nice scream in the higher rev range. Measured 93db @ 3500 rpm (from when i went through pits for inspection) notice this with a lot of the Jasma exhausts that the cars come over with from Japan, they're not overly loud.
  15. the thrust bearing itself will cost stuff all, the labour can obviously get a little pricey as your gearbox needs to come out
  16. screw in a bellbousing bolt, and rest a big flat head screwdriver against the bolt and the flat head end in between one of the flywheel teeth. get a mate to hold the screwdriver while you undo the bolts otherwise if you have no one to help you, get the right size ratchet onto the bolts one at a time and smack the ratchet with a mallet - the sudden hit force will loosen them. did this myself not long ago, it works.
  17. posting on behalf of Mr.Massive he replaced it with original front diff centre out of the gts4 (rb25de) this we're not sure of. this is potentially the gear causing no spin. I'm thinking that the mechanic may have presumed that this gear in question was an identical item could this one be the problem? can give this a try no. as per first quote, the front diff was replaced so it will match the rear
  18. stupid fkn ezyreg payments pages are down at the moment. conveniently, my car needs rego, and ive got shit to do/places to be today...

  23. DAI top speed runs, pretty cool. in japanese though
  24. ive heard some of the later s2 33's had "neo development" rb25's - cant remember where i seen that info though spotted a white R34 parked on grnfell st city this morning, near the police station. low, black lenso (i think) rims, very dirty (could use a wash). looked like it just came from the desert...
