1. just taking a stab here - have you tried resetting your car alarm? say if there is any override switch / earthing tab / etc - check your alarm manual/documentation (if you have it). seen a very similar issue recently happen to a mates car when one of his battery terminals was loose and came off while driving; car shuts down - he checks battery, reconnects terminals, goes to re-start and take off, but the alarm constantly sounds and immobilises the engine from starting, no matter how many times he tried disarm the alarm with the remote control. After a couple of hours messing around with it (and around 5 different mates coming past to try and work it out), finally read the alarm manual/documentation and read up on using the override function. Solved the problem
2. Hmmm. Why the 25GT mate? In my opinion, 17k (even though that's the max price of the undisclosed amount) is far too much $ to throw at a non turbo R34. (even though this may be the market price, I wouldn't pay it) As Mark Read says; "perish the thought". Whatever floats your boat though. A relative of mine has an R33 with an RB25DE - he's probably travelled approx 20,000km on top of what was already on the od when he bought it, and the only problem he has had was a slipping clutch due for replacement. But that's the only RB25DE that I really know anything about. Check out the Naturally Aspirated forum, use the search function and I'm sure you'll find more info.
3. Lock it in man! i'm on holidays from the 6th Jan! what venue?
4. cant go wrong with breathing mods i say although you're in skyline territory
5. mate, there is STACKS of info throughout the forums here - use the search function, its GOLD i tell ya but seeing as i'm sitting here at work on the 29th of December not having to pretend to be busy with no management around: you wont need a tune with a cat back exhaust being your only modification. As soon as you start any breathing mods, your fuel economy isnt exactly going to stay the same as standard or get any better. if you want to progress & squeeze out potential power without spending thousands; continue breathing mods replace the dump & front pipe, and cat to bigger / high flow items: http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=276&page=1 http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=275&page=1 pod filter with heat shield/enclosure; - although some argue the standard airbox is fine very cool DIY on making an enclosure: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ma...at-t208224.html front mount intercooler; return flow if you want to use the standard plumbing : http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=1&featured or the more common aftermarket kits: http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=339&page=1 - using this sort of kit will leave you with a hole in the passenger side of the chassis from where one of the standard intercooler pipes used to sit - maybe hook up a cold air feed from behind the front bar to the pod filter boost controller - if you want the standard turbo to have a long life, best to not set boost over 12psi. Some say you can go a touch higher with it, but fact is it will die a lot easier. 'cheap' like the budgie (but quite effective): http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Turbotech-manual-tu...=item33584de91b or a good EBC: http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=302&page=1 you should get away with a nice little increase in power with these mods, but dont expect good fuel economy - fuel economy and turbo skyline should not be used in the same sentence in my opinion. (lol). Especially with a standard ECU. as for your coilpacks - only change them if they are failing. the standard coilpacks are just as good as aftermarket ones. As for aftermarket - i went with supersparks in my previous r33 - good as gold. If you are running copper spark plugs, change them regularly - i change mine at each service if you can throw more coin at it; power FC. take it to the tuner to install, tune and achieve best tuning results (taking your current engine hardware limits into consideration). more power? Z32 Air Flow Meter, bigger Fuel Pump, Turbo Upgrade? Injectors? Forced Induction Performance
6. the video code button doesnt seem to work for me - may have something to do with my popup settings
7. drugs and underground style club music will go down well to any drughead on a 100,000+ dollar sound system deep house (the funky stuff), is more of a loungey club sorta thing, nice alcohol on tap and funky basslines @116-128BPM, music a more mature crowd appreciates rather than 145BPM "reach for the lasers / who's got the pills" nature. if you need pills to enjoy the music, it aint worth listening to in my opinion!
8. lol. the song and the clip itself (for me) sums up this terrible fashion of bright high top shoe fitted, oversized emo ear pierced, poo catcher jean wearing jokers... i recognise that second track you posted Ben - heard it somewhere before, quite recently. cant remember where though! good to see there are a few rap & hip hop heads amongst us though, mix it up a little
9. one tune i absolutely can not stand: woop woop <faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrt> i really don't understand the masses appeal over this one
10. ^ very nice Craig - don't know if I was just dreaming, but i could hear some low sub bass in that big smoke track - maybe my poxy little computer speakers & sub here won't spit out those sounds quite well - if there is a very low sub bass line, maybe make it a little louder - i should re-route my pc output back into my mixer and play it through my big speakers i use for playing/mixing my records i really want to get a good set of monitors to use with the computer
11. i like the shot behind the old sa water building / in front of the historian hotel & jumbuck house
12. @semislick - not unfortunate at all, still one tough machine the 1sil80 looks very nice from the rear end Jess, nice chunky rims - and rb powered too - beautiful! welcome
13. was driving next to a black Stagea on Darley Rd yesterday around 12:30pm - lowered, nice dished rims, a clean/newish looking rear muffler. very tough looking wagon
14. it's a bloody shame - that line up wasnt too bad. I was actually going to go to that as it was more of a low-key festival, and i would have just started my holidays in that week of January. Really wanted to see Rennie Pilgrem, Krafty Kuts - who always puts on a good show-. and 2-manydjs yeah i agree with that about the sideshow - not a good idea @ EC/Rocket/Limbo - way too small, it will be stupidly over crowded. Definitely needs a venue with larger areas - but at the end of the day the club owner wont be complaining! A lot of money will be made over the bar, and entry fees
15. +2 we're buying a carton at lunch and bringing it into the office hey cronic, see mid summer circus got cancelled!!!! fark!
16. excellent mate! definitely a nicer look with the all black rims
17. ^ on the note of techno
18. had a listen to few BMB tracks on YT - the ones i came across were definitely on the darker side of detroit-style techno, quite cool tracks actually! but i still consider that other track to be pretty shady; not exactly my cup of tea. The film clip probably made it feel darker
19. having a listen to your mix Craig - some wicked sounds man, nice trax, would've been an enjoyable mixup dubstep definitely doesnt sound easy to mix
20. i gotta get my hands on tickets!!! cant believe the fcker is sold out!!!!!
21. I dont mind that track! didnt really think it would get airplay on Nova however. CVS gets a fair bit of attention on Triple J
22. chuck on 4 space savers and get it towed man edit - unless you''ve removed all the rotors etc
23. fark thats gotta be one of the darkest techno tracks i've ever heard!
24. lol, spot on mate - its not a packed club full of off tappers sweating their nuts off jumping up and down with hands in the air; i'm pretty confident to say it'd be a lot classier, casual, sit down have a drink and actually hear yourself talk over the tunes (but still at a nice volume on a big system), a lot of females on the dancefloor, with room to move you're onto something Craig mate! very nice! i'll be keen for sure, just depending on when - i'm hopeless with plans especially this time of year
