tell me about it mate - that loss against Melbourne was just disgraceful! Like you've said, you just don't know what its gonna be with these jokers... so unpredictable! The best game this year for them was the win against the Hawks in melbourne - they gave it everything they had; fast paced attacking, far less defensive play where they are stuffing around handballing/chipping to eachother - they moved the ball to their forward 50 very well in that game resulting in plenty of goals on the run. Cant remember who it was, but i think Carlile was on Franklin that day, and he did a bloody good job keeping him away from the ball as much as possible. I think the hawks did have a few of their usual players out injured in that round however - i dont remember Roughhead playing that day. Nevertheless i hope we smash em again, but yeah- the odds arent in our favour! Crows and Geelong Saturday, that should be a beauty!

im not exactly confident about port over the hawks this weekend Matt. Ports poor game plan against the crows last week goes to show what its like for them against a tough & fit side (playing the way they have been lately). Hopefully they'll adopt & prepare some better tactics/plans during the week, and put up a good fight. I'll be cheering for port as normal, but i think i'm going to tip the hawks! I watched the hawks and geelong game last week; pretty solid effort by the hawks. They just may have stayed in front if they managed to pot a few goals in the last quarter there instead of those behinds

the last quarter of the port game was frustrating. i hate it when they play good footy, and then switch off toward the end of the game. They should have pumped west coast in that final term - would have made a small difference in their overall ladder percentage too.

i reckon this festival is going to be the ultimate fail: parklife lineup is fkn rubbish this year too - im giving it a miss unless they announce a 2nd round lineup of good artists.

if youre looking for a hotel that is decent priced and smack bang in the middle of the city, try the pacific in hindmarsh square. as for nightlife, i myself like the smaller underground clubs & bars - i reccomend Sugar on Rundle St. and even Dragonfly in Victoria Sq. on a Saturday night. Theres heaps of other joints that are popular - Electric Circus, Garage, Dog & Duck, Vodka Bar, or even HQ like Batmaan Bin Suparman said above (lol). And while you're down here, you might as well check out the worst Casino in Australia...

agreed Krishy. T Trash makes very simple tunes, but he seems to do it well, and to the liking of the masses. That one is a pretty good example, especially sampling a voice like goodrems and bringing that into clubland. worked extremely well imo

on another note - i bought some records for the first time in AGES this week. some awesome deep house from Juno - im hell picky and selective as vinyl is not cheap. Some dope tunes from labels Plastic City, Ornate, NRK, MyHouseYourHouse, 20:20! cant wait to get my hands on em!
