  1. cool, im gonna check the joint out. i live pretty close by
  2. absolutely, very convenient having cdjs and buying digital tunes, and definitely the way to go if you produce tunes like you do craig. cant go wrong for the bedroom setup! i've always thought about buying one to throw in amongs my 1200s, maybe something to think about with my stimulus money that i just received the other day
  3. it does sound better, absolute fact! probably quite a contributor to the sound being so shit in EC when i walked in there a few months back. behind the console was a folder of burnt electrohouse cds and 2 CDJ1000s... i love vinyl, havent bought any for a while. i love looking through discogs for past deep house, you can pick up some real bargains!
  4. talking duke of york? that place is cool on fridays straight after work (5pm), wouldnt stay there any longer than a few hours though! +1! hmc on odd weeknights = win havent seen that many internationals play there as of late compared to what they used to in the past years
  5. $17???????????? that is absolute robbery. For entry into a small club like that.... IMO the club turned to shit as soon as they started OneLove, place got thrashed. Its still a good club, dont get me wrong. before onelove and whatever they have on there now, it used to be $5 or $8 on saturday nights. maybe $10 if an international act was playing. Mature easy going crowd, great deep house djs (internationals and locals), verrrrrrrrrrrry nice women, and the sound system was a spankin new 1 of a kind in the whole of Australia -was fkn awesome. Walked in the joint a few months ago, and fark me its gone downhill! Sound system sounds like shit, they've ripped out a lot of the decor (to allow room for a bigger dancefloor obviously), the joint just feels filthy! Still a good club compared to others though

jeez not a bad effort there Damo! port and the crows definitely got some work to do... ill be heading to the showdown this sat, lets hope for some better weather too! the Demons are in such bad form, couldnt believe what i was seeing last night... such sloppy football, reminded me of watching a local C grade team's gameplay. They could have easily bitten back in the last quarter too, missed some absolute sitters!
  8. JJR (cooling pro), Blitz, and ARC make those coolers ^

  11. my boss was out on grenfell st earlier and a black 35 GTR cruised past!!!!!
  12. Thats true Ben. I used to be an office clerk/admin worker doing finance and procurement work- working for the same state gov dept that i am in now. I landed a job in the IT area as I was a known user with a sort of advanced skill set in computing - was then approached by my department's IT infrastructure & support manager to fill in for someone on the help desk; I basically started from there. Level 1 help desk officers in state gov are mostly ASO3, but some are even ASO2 - very average salaries! you gotta start somewhere!
  13. nothing wrong there mate, its a very good start point. I'm doing that exact same course right now, part time, for my own pd - i currently have no IT qualifications, but i do have experience - so i thought i'd have to back up and start somewhere! The subjects covered are labelled as basic (being at the Cert III level), but trust me, you'll learn a hell of a lot of things you dont know. I've been able to get recognition for a few of the subjects as i've worked in IT help desk areas before (and still technically do), but i'm sitting in on most of the subjects like 3NWS and 3NWA2 (novell) etc. It's good knowledge. The completion of that qualification can definitely help in landing a helpdesk / tech support type job.

The saints are doing pretty well, but i think we have a good chance of breaking their winning streak. They havent a good past playing against us at AAMI... We'll see. I'm bloody excited! first game ill be attending this year, then showdown week after! I'll be coming home with no voice as usual... that mark WAS an absolute ripper; Logan wasnt it? Pity he missed the goal after! The defence was brilliant as well, that Roughead hardly touched the ball, and the boys did pretty well keeping Franklin off the ball as well
