  1. top stuff, we all love a bargain eh. they open on Sunday?
  2. Ended up using Pop Rivets. Fastened tighter than a ducks anus.
  3. Thats good news that you have been able to have your car sent to a trusted repairer. I've seen some dodgy work done on my mates cars after accidents, where insurance company is involved in choosing the repairers.
  4. Good point GeeTR. But what i imply about it not being that simple > (going back to my school metal work days here) spot welding requires contact at both outer surfaces of the pieces of metal, right? Drivers side foot well aint exactly an easy place to get to, to spot weld (by making the contact inside, AND outside of the car)... without removing components of the car to make it accessible (one would think...) So for an easy and reliable fix; im thinking a bit of sikaflex just to adhesively mount it in its position, and 4 tech screws after, straight into the chassis. What concerns me as i first mentioned is if its safe to do this! / ie - is there anything on the outside of the footwell to be careful of if i drill in tech screws
  5. dont think its THAT simple to re-spot weld it on though. Thought it may have been something that was done at the early stages of assembling the car in the factory by Nissan. (ie - working with a very bare shell of the car)
  6. After a bit of driving around last night, my accelerator pedal seemed to be a bit 'loose feeling' under my right foot. I thought it may have been the actual plastic part of the pedal itself (that you step on). So, pulled over to inspect using the light on my camera phone, and the WHOLE accelerator stalk assembly was loose as; metal bracket and all (spring and cable in tact though). So, still driveable, but heaps loose. Basically felt like a bolt/screws had come off underneath the carpet and lining, and the accelerator mount was moving around freely and unfastened to the chassis. Took a few bits apart this evening around the pedals, and noticed the mount was originally spot welded... Spot welds have snapped apart! Has anyone had this problem before? Obviously, a simple solution would be to mig weld around the bracket onto the chassis. But a mig aint something i have easy access to... So i was thinking, maybe 2 tech screws through the bottom, and 2 through the top of the mounting plate, into the chassis. Should be pretty simple. Only thing i'm worried about: is there anything behind that part of the chassis (that i'm going to screw into) to look out for? Cheers Luc
  7. just seen a verrrrrrry nice black 34 R vspec, LED tail tights, aftermarket big rims, turning into u park on grenfell
  8. J-Spec definitely have a bit of everything ey! I seen a Rotary Powered Holden Kingswood on there a few months ago...
  9. Interested to know what company this girl and tosser of a boss are employed in. Insurance and incidents like this are a pretty high priority.
  10. seen a nice nice clean 34 GT t on grenfell this arvo, had gtr badging on it then shortly after seen a beautiful R34 GTR in the standard metallic blue, stock zorst, asian driver turning off grenfell onto east tce, then payneham rd. fkn awesome. think it had CC plates. they look just bloody terrific in their standard form. I WANT 1!!!!!!%$#$@*&!
  11. ^^ Same here - one night i just kept driving around with the needle pointed on E (and the needle actually moves just under the E notch). I was pretty worried that i would run out sooner or later, and just as i rocked up to the traffic lights before the next servo i planned to stop at, the little orange icon lit up in the top left of the dash. I was cheering, I didnt think it had a fuel light at all.
  12. and lucky you didnt cop any injuries of course!
  13. that fkn sucks mate sorry to hear.
  14. There definitely is a fuel light.
  15. yep, same for 33s.
  16. yeah i dont reckon they used the launch control in that drag either.
  17. One of Best Motorings latest drag challenge segments. All commentated in japanese of course!
  18. hehe it does look like quite the bucket of arseholes.
  19. thought i'd throw this over to the wasteland. From [sA Cars Spotted Thread #3] I personally wouldnt touch those kits at all, agreed; they are pretty 'meh'. But i dunno, there is just something about that particular car that captures my interest and makes me look twice! When you look at an example like this though:
  20. not sure ay. def dont reckon it belongs to a sau member. tis nice & chunky indeed!
  21. SPEAK of the devil.... parked across from our property right now: SNAP!
  22. LOL! its definitely those rims that make it hard to single out the white r33s Ryan, they are a nice pairing/look fkn tough on the car! There is another one right around the corner of me with that same look also, but with a vertex looking kit all round. I love it.
  23. corkscrew rd is a ripper! that used to be part of my weekend hoon route back in the day - montacute, corkscrew, then gorge. good times!
  24. o yeah, and i had a silver R33 GTR behind me on rundle st after i left U park around 5:20pm. Not sure if it was anyone from here
  25. i seen a nice white s2 33 on Glynburn rd this arvo - first identity that came to mind after i seen it was ryanrb25 (very similar to the one in the sig/avatar) - although theres a few around this way with that VERY similar look (same rims etc). I was in a white bog-stock looking s1 33.
