  1. ^^Too true. Just got my insurance renewal and noticed even fire & theft is now covered to $10,000. not bad at all
  2. its likely to be both mate. Give the mob @ regency a bell. They have to answer any questions of this nature you throw at them. dont give them any personal info of course!
  3. interesting points! Lucky for me, my motor has never suffered pinging or detonation. I've filled my car up with several types of premium except for liberty's/united's. I have had my 33 for 6 years though... So call me experimental; i've been lucky to never cop a bad dose of premium juice, whether it be Shell, Caltex, Mobil or BP. will take these suggestions into consideration!
  4. Yeah Deluxe, and my car was tuned on cat piss. I better stop going to shell hey. Are you seriously that uptight about your fuel?
  5. I've always used the Shell premium / Vpower, no worries. BP's in my area are always up at least 5c more on Ultimate compared to Vpower at Shell across the other side of my suburb!
  6. i guess you could call these 'jerks' flat spots. could be several things try searching the forums mate. Its guarunteed someone would have thrown up a thread around having this same or very similar problem.
  7. shit yeah, huge bang! i didnt figure out what is was until searching the whole car over and under, then jumped back in and seen half of my drivers shield snapped off. Without these things, water just pours in all over your electric window switches etc very easily when its been raining.
  8. theiving carnts. this happens quite regularly here in SA. if i ever see a theif trying to break into ANY1s skyline here, i'll be glad to make an example of em.
  9. bloody good things to have, these weather shields. mine snapped off while i was driving also
  10. agreed, f**king excellent! you are a champion! mine broke the first day i owned my car, and has been pissing me off for over 5 fkn years, unlatching and flying open when i gas it!
  11. super black & white pearl!
  12. that would explain it. I dont think the throwout was changed when i put the new clutch in. (i wasnt supplied with one - clutch fell off back of a truck!) cheers for your help guys, much appreciated.
  13. a learning experience for ya vinnie. youre innocent until proven guilty. unfortunately, you proved it for them...
  14. throwout bearing hey? what sort of pricerange we looking at?
  15. i have this problem also. Squeals when i slowly release the clutch when reversing, and releasing when downshifting at high revs. hasnt affected any performance, but its had me worried for quite some time. My standard clutch never did this. Only started after i installed the Xtreme heavy duty... occured about 3 months after use I've had a suggestions such as replacing the thrust bearing (but havent got to that yet). Has anyone diagnosed a similar problem?
  16. nothing better to do as usual. look at the f'n queues when you go to pay your rego or whatever at Transport SA... lines out the f**king door. why they bother with shit like that is beyond me... that department needs to get its f**king priorities straight
  17. oh, and f*&^ the splitfire idea off. i seriously think they are a waste of money with minimal mods. There is nothing wrong with the standard coil packs.
  18. this thread may, or may not help you with the missing @ 4-5k rpm http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t32356.html
  19. I had Federals on the second hand set of 33 stocker rims when i first purchased them, and i must say, they lasted me the longest out of all the 225/50/16 tyres ive ever put on the 33! ... Khumo, Nankang, BobJane, Michelin all lasted nowhere near as long. Performance/Grip is another thing tho eh!
  20. hehe, yep, jack/axle stand question answered ^^ what jmaac said
  21. dont be too worried mate. I have lost my license twice, where my 33 sat in the back shed sleeping for quite long periods. No big issue if you ask me. Others may disagree though... Currently, my car has been sitting in the back shed since Australia Day this year, and i have taken it for a drive 3 times since that day. All i did was waste as much of the remaining petrol as possible when i first put it away in January. I top her up a couple of litres of fresh fuel every time i start it, let it warm up for 5-10 mins, and take it for a quick chomp around the block. She runs just as i left her, on Australia day. Good as Gold... I miss my bitch ah well, - I get her back in December, and i cant fkn wait... sick of driving the missus 4banger. i WILL be doing a service immediateley when i get it back. It cant hurt at all. Standard ECU losing all its power isn't a problem either - dont know about aftermarket items like Power FCs etc though! Some say also to put your car up on jackstands. i couldnt be farked...
  22. id be guessing youre probably spot on around 10 - 15 kw increase
  23. air filter, front & dump pipe should do ya a favour in gaining a few horseys.
  24. maybe try getting the VIN number and have someone use Nissan Fast to check. have a look at this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t133729.html i aint sure if you can determine if the model is a V-Spec though. One would think it should!
  25. a lot of you guys may have seen this already, but f*&^ it made me laugh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnGKPAffVBw
