thanx blur, got their addy & phone. It's amazing what can turn up on these forums. This is my second unit & it leaks like a sieve as well. I don't know how long they meant to last or whether the leak is a big issue, but leaking brakes do worry me, not to mention brake fluid leaking all over the engine bay & eating the paint. I could buy another 2nd hand unit for $550 but its condition may be just as bad, so replacing the seals may be a valid option. Is there a special brake fluid that should be used in these units ??? Cheers.

thanks for the replys guys, new control arms seem to be the go, i'm a bit suspicious of used running gear, especially from "carefully" driven skylines.

I'm currently on my second ABS unit & have just found out it's leaking as well. Does anyone know who or where I can get it rebuilt or buy a reconditioned unit.

Brake fluid was low, not that much but it obviously enough to trigger the light, thanx guys..... you learn something every day.....

I wouldn't use 5th, (it is really an overdrive anyway) below 100km/h.

Why don't you import it yourself like I did. Prestige Motor Sport did a brilliant job & got me one of the best stock R32's around (or so i'm told by admiring workshops). Basically, what i'm saying is that you can get a much better car, non accident damaged, at a much better price.

Just recently my hand brake warning light/indicator came on in the dash. It goes off after a while, is this indicating anything seriously wrong with the car, it's an r32 gtr. Cheers guys.

There seems to a lot of wind noise coming from where the window & door mirror assembly meet. Is there any way I can adjust the windows or do something to the mirror assembly to stop it. Alternatively, is there anyone in melbourne who can look at it. It,is an r32 gtr btw. cheers deers.

I forgot to add that the speedo shit itself at 1.5,-0000000 (is that enough zeros??) but why bother to replace it. I've currently got the car for sale but i dunno whether to tell any prospective buyers that the speedo reading is second time round ????? :Bang:

I can easily top that, I've an old VL toilet door thats done 1,600,000 K's on the same donk. I've gone thru 4 heads, but the donk & tranny (auto) are factory original. I bought the thing new, & it hasn't missed a beat since 1986. Thats why i've just bought an r32 gtr, which has just blown the @@##?? clutch.....

I've got (I think) a stock standard r32 gtr. When I get it over 180k (bad, bad, bad)it seems to stall & cut out on me. Is there a speed limiter on these cars ?????.

I've just recently picked up my R32 GTR as well. It had a huge leak from the ABS. I ended up replacing the entire unit at a cost of $550 for a secondhand unit. I asked several places if they could do the seals on the unit & was told ...." no-one had any experience with these particular units" ..... Good luck.
