Need some advice on front canards. I am thinking of fitting Varis style carbon fibre front canards to my Evo 9. Is this legal? What does the ADR rules state? Will I get defected by Police? Any advice given will be much appreciated.

Have a read of the TopGear comparison and laugh at the final conclusion where the result is handed to the Audi R8 even though the writer mentions, " I seriously doubt there is a car on the planet that can corner faster or more aggressively than this". It is faster, better engineered than the R8 but still the GTR lost. What more can the GTR do to get respect among European car journalists. When the R35 GTR was released I had a feeling that the kilowatt figure of 353 at the engine was an understatement. I had a thought that the engine kilowatt figure was in actual fact the power at the wheels. If you go to http://www.gtrblog.com/ you can see one japanese owner had the GTR on a dyno and recorded a figure of 482ps at the hubs which equates to around 359kw at the wheels. I am claiming that the GTR is having 420-450kw at the engine. That is the reason why a car weighing more than 1.7 tonnes can do the quarter mile in 11.7 seconds and the 0-100 km dash in under 4 seconds, although the fast gearing also plays a role. Any thoughts on this by the forum members would be appreciated.

How you all doing? My mates VS (White in colour) SS Commodore replica was stolen today (around 1-2am in the morning). It has got the full SS bodykit including the decails but has got the Commodore S badge at the back of the car. The distinct feature it has is that it's got a VZ Monaro Bonnet(the one with the nostrils) and has got a monster tacho near the gearbox. The area it was stolen is Quakers Hill, near the Parklea correctional centre. It must have been some punk ass kids. If anyone offers a VZ monaro bonnet to suit their VS commodore please let me know as soon as possible. If anyone has information could you please let me know at [email protected]. RH9 GTR did 1013@all 4 wheels at Autosalon. Imagine the power if left in rear wheel drive form. Probably would do a burnout in the dyno. Always thought that RH9 would smash the record held by the DRAGER and CDUCKTV. What a run on the dyno.

I read on the Autosalon Magazine that Marc Jacobsen's black R32 GTR broke the power reord registering a figure 0f 720awkw. Has anyone got any pictures of this beast and also pictures of the Gold Coast 2006 Autosalon? If a forum member has some pictures could please post them up on this forum.
