I had this same thing happen to my first FC thanks to good old mohammad from these very forums, at very short notice of finding out the current FC was doing this, I rang him as he had told me he had heaps of parts.... anyhow 30mins later he rocks up to the workshop with a FC for the GTR!!! amazing! faster than a pizza! plugged in the new FC and bingo all ok.... basically I was told by BEL that these problems are a known fault with the FC and that Apexi know about it... I then rang the guy i bought it from originally... and he had to send it away to get looked at and repaired...(SAU trader also...but not as user friendly as Mo ) well that was 4 months ago!!!! and no sign of my FC! once I get it back and it is factory repaired I will test it and then sell it.... so yes it is a fault that apexi know about.... ring BEL for some contact info for apexi....
  2. G'day all... I have RE55's and love them to death!!! I have a question for those in the know.... Yokohama Advan 32R semi's in 205 60 13 ? anyone know a cheap place to buy them? here or overseas???? cheers...

Tommy K get a decent boost computer (blitz spec R) and seriously look at getting some tomei poncom cams, both marko and myself have these, and I am sure he can vouch for the early spool time because of this.... I think you will find BEL will give you a great tune, as Ben knows his stuff!! I do believe that CRD (jim) would have given you the best tune possible with the equipment you gave him.... I look forward to when BEL have their dyno room up and going!!! in a nutshell you can only get good results from having good equipment in all areas, fall short in one, and it will effect the end result... good luck

  6. SK to the rescue again and out with those old wives tales.... so I could simply look at the fuel map for 8000rpm and above, and slightly richen it up, as the limiter is 8200rpm and Im not making any more power or torque above say 7700rpm anyhow.... nice I will have a look at it

  12. well my AFR is flat on both Jim's dynos.... and the dyno at the GONG... maybe it is just a sensor thing, I would hardly imagine the car is actually tuned like that AFR, as it is not consistant with the other information... i.e. the smooth power curve or the other dyno sheets I have seen.... 12-12.5 still seems ok to me oh and don't stress Stace

  20. ahhhhhhh but marko, take the bike and the car to say wakefield and your GTR would smash it.... to put all the bike V car stuff into perspective, an F1 car is about 9 seconds faster at sepang where both race game over.... but yes stock R1 V anything legal???? 1 to the bike I still remember that day you and I saw that guy splattered on the old pac... I'll stick to driving, as a mistake in a GTR is easier to fix....
  21. I am looking at getting SK's full whiteline kit, without the dampers and springs due to already having a set of tien HA.... I was wondering what else is required to be changed on a R32 GTR that could be of benefit??? ideas people? also where is a cheap place to get drive shaft boots? I have a split one then who to fit?
  22. Ok my small brain can't work out what SBS is.... I will certainly take the drive to PI (the long way via the great ocean road) from here in sunny Adelaide as soon as there is a open practice day going.... and I am in OZ what is a good lap time for you there? oh and Mik? I thought you were getting engine work done???
  23. Nice! Well I will look at those also.... currently 3 that stand out and have been recommended are the :- Hawk blue DS 3000 Pagid was it ok to use the DS3000 on a worn rotor i.e. not a new one? and I am guessing it will be a few highway runs for me to bed them in!!
  24. Yeah GTR-700 is just a shell with some expensive shocks and motec data-logging cables right now! There is nothing left on or in this car.... All I know is that it is on a serious diet, and 2 engines are in the build Get that car down to say 1000kg and now that would get me to a WSID to watch oh and to all those that say its not possible to get a GT-R to that weight, think again.... now.... back to the topic I want to see Marko and Nick running on the same day!!! and while we are at it, Mik should have his car going by then also???? I have no idea Mik if you are staying with GTRS? or going bigger?
