  1. well 900hp in the hands of an novice would always end in tears.... I think you will find that even Jimmy thought the 993 with a casual 550hp was far enough! now it is a lot safer, and also fair to all entering.... just pluck up 250k for a Z tune GTR and your in the game!....(still a lot less than a fully worked GT2 plus plus plus.... no change out of 500k) speaking of novice drivers, I was more than impressed with Stuart Appleby! anyone else a stand out?
  2. FREE BUMP! well that sounds like a great combo
  3. Ok I am dragging this back from the dead!!! As some of you might know, I have a set of these GT-SS turbos going on the car (today!!!) with the following combo.... rebuilt stock engine tomei poncom cams 260 260 9.15 greddy split dumps 700cc injectors RB20 AFMS apexi FC blitz SBC spec R and the usual other bits to go along with it all.... is anyone else running these of late? and if so what sort of boost levels are we talking? I will post some full specs and dyno reports once it is all done! does anyone else have any dyno sheets with similar mods? cheers...
  4. great video, but being greedy Id love to see more if anyone has them
  5. yeah I was kind of looking to hear how strong the engine had to be, and was thinking the RB26 was a little low on air to pump that thing??? and what sort of boost are we really talking?
  6. Dunc's love that SST humour oh so can you clarify in detail the actual mods to that car? I may have to buy an R34 someday, and would like to know what they have done to get it over the field of 996 TT's .... and they won the whole thing Kor'axis....
  7. out of curiosity, what sort of engine is needed to make this thing work! and what sort of power is it able to achieve??? free bump :)
  8. ok here is the official HKS pic....
  9. yeah I think the .42 inlet is the GTR for sure.... and the other is a single for the SR20 .... I doubt it would be a good idea to have the .60 on the GTR.... as a side note the R34 N1 is .64 now is that the exhaust housing the same as the GTSS? I do hope I got the right turbos!!!! so is 570hp at the flywheel or wheels???
  10. anyone able to give me an idea on the green line and the red line in the graph also???
  11. http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/turbo/.../gtss/gtss.html and this one.... http://translate.google.com/translate?u=ht...Flanguage_tools
  12. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...hl%3Den%26lr%3D lets hope this is readable! and if so I think it says that there is a .42 inlet and .64 exhaust.... but only 1 turbo for the GTR.... good for 570hp! woo hoooo
  13. havent got the GTSS yet! I am a bit concerned that there are more than one type of GTSS???? I thought (well on nengun anyhow) there was only 1 GTSS for the GTR? anyhelp? ..... they are in the air, so I will know soon enough! lets hope either are ok!
  14. Im still hanging out to see a video and dyno sheet! who has em

  16. wind a bit more front diff on and she'll be right mate!.....
  17. oh and I know targa rules are tight....(having read the supps inside out many many times! ) I was hoping for a more detailed list of mod's completed on that GTR? i.e. what has been done to make it good enough to live for 5 days of targa this year, and not other years (I think from memory it has done bits of the last 3 odd targas?) so if anyone knows of the bits and peices that have been changed, I would be interested to hear....
  18. ok finally found some info!! TARGA TASMANIA TARMAC RALLY Day 4 Report Hobart-Mole Creek-Burnie (110.29km competitive) For Immediate Release: Saturday 30 April 2005 WHITE AND RICHARDS BATTLE FOR TARGA TASMANIA WIN Heading into the final day of competition in the 2005 Targa Tasmania tarmac rally, Nissan Skyline driver, and local favourite to win, Jason White maintains a lead over former champion, Jim Richards. Partnered by navigator John White, Hobart-based Jason completed the fourth leg of the event, over ten stages between Hobart and Burnie with a total penalty time of 12-mins 45-seconds. The uncle-nephew team now holds a 4-second advantage of over Porsche powered rival Richards. They are followed by Queenslander Tony Quinn, and Tasmania’s Greg Garwood, both driving Porsches. The top four are separated by 31-seconds. In a Subaru Impreza WRX, veteran circuit racer Tony Longhurst slipped to 11th place, while golfer Stuart Appleby picked up his pace to finish twelfth. The battle for top spot heated up on the third last stage of the 110.29km leg, when Richards caught up to obtain a 1-second lead over the Tasmanians. Despite some early mechanical issues, the Whites charged ahead, taking advantage of the wet conditions in their 4WD turbo-charged Nissan. "I'm surprised we're still in front,” said White. "We had a hydraulic problem with our centre diff in Cethana and Jim (Richards) caught us. It's going to be hard to defend any lead we've got unless it rains tomorrow." Although satisfied with the performance of his 2WD Porsche in today’s conditions, Richards is concerned about the impending wet weather and the continuing speed of the ‘White Hot’ Tasmanian duo. "We're closer than we were last night to the lead, so we're happy,” said Richards. "If the weather tomorrow is like today, we won't stand a chance unless they (the Whites) have a problem. We've had a trouble free run today and it's been their (White and Quinn's) problems that have kept us in contention." Driving a 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera, Bill Pye and navigator Grant Geelan still hold the lead in the Shannons Classic Competition. The Victorian duo of Michael Conway and Simon Gardiner still follow closely in a 1977 Ford Escort MK2 RS2000, with Datsun team Graham Copeland and Jon Siddins rounding out the top three. Two cameraman suffered minor surface injuries when a competition vehicle veered off the Natone stage today during competition. Immediate medical assessment cleared all parties involved of serious injuries, with none requiring any further medical attention. Four-time Historic winner John Lawson was forced out of top contention today after experiencing extensive clutch problems with his 1926 AC Amilcar on the Colebrook stage. Tomorrow’s fifth and final leg comprises nine stages, with a competitive distance of 146.37km.
