  5. G'day Jerry, can you expand on your info for the CV joint boots? Im going to be needing to do it at some stage soon... also I need to do the steering rack ones! do you know or have you done it with the repco kit RRB033 I have heard conflicting reports about how good a fit they are with the GTR would be great to find a way to do both sets of boots for less than a work shop! thanks....

  7. yep CRD for sure.... and dunc's if you have a MoTeC laying around the floor that you dont want and maybe an ADL also I will happily take them off your hands hahaha...

  9. I think that getting .8 at 4000 might be improved upon but not by too much.... just the nature of those turbos, top end V response....
  10. Mark, I think the plenum is a wayyyyy to hard a job! I simply masked it up in place and found a similar black spray to touch up the few chips I had in the original paint... and it turned out good! as for the cam covers! I am getting pissed with it, as the surface just isnt coming up all that flash! I am about to give in, and go get the crinkle finish paint (like the red cover on the S1 R34 GTR above) and go with that, as it hides the imperfections far better!!! and what he was talking about was the plastic fuel wiring loom cover (allen key) undo and push it away... I also found the twin turbo pipe had to come off too... if this doesnt work, I will admit failure and get a professional to do it in the future! grrrr

TommyK as kebab has said, getting a catch can is going to be helpful in the long run, as it will stop all that lovely oil you buy ending up in your intercooler... then intake....then lean..... then .... BANG even less chas for the suffering GF! also don't look at the catch cans that you can buy off the shelf and the like, they just dont work! go see Brian @ BEL and get him to show you what a propper can should be like.... oh and that power graph is great top end, but laggy as hell! Pete always said to me he had hardly any lag? hmmmm I have talked to Ben about him using Jim's Dyno in the interim until there unit is online, and should be a good deal go have a chat

Yeah Dunc's I have been scouring the net for the advan 32 R and had a sneeky that they had been out dated.... hmmm yes I need like 3 or 4 sets of the things! so if you have you contact for getting your dunlops, I'd love to make an inquiry about the price of the 205 60 13..... $193 from gordo is a right rip! if only they were a bridgestone control tyre! oh then I would be laughing!!!!
  14. Errrrr TommyK you own a GTR right hmmmm = wife & 3 kids, or thats what my bank account shows I am supporting! (and no I am in no way, shape, or form married with any rug rats!) A power run at DART? I'm sure Jim would be more than willing to help you out there he is a top guy, and there are more than a few here to vouch for the work of the shop, all I say is drop in and say hi, all the guys are very clued up, and will be willing to have a chat ( 19 Belmore rd punchbowl ) the good thing about the dynolog is the acurate torque figure, and that is what really makes a fast car, not a nancy boy KW number :) .5 BAR at 3300? hmmm that does seem very low? I know you have the SBC spec R, so how about setting the alarm on it to 1 BAR and then eyes on the road and the tacho gas it till it rings.... then you will be able to check your 1 BAR a little easier, and safer!!! I wonder what PNBLGHT gets?

I doubt kebab makes 24 psi at 3k and I also doubt he makes 1 BAR at 3k .... he hasn't got cam yet (or should I say again ) but yes you are correct in the fact that DART built both of our engines, as is Marko as is Blitz... but I would add that having a "built" motor does fark all for making more power in this case (setup I have) it just lets you sleep better at night knowing it was put together with some lovin'..... Marko will make a shed load more power than all of us, but we are talking top end now, and that is a different game TommyK will you give it a power run somewhere shortly for all of us to see? and did you notice much of a fix with the better boost control? I'm guessing you ended up getting the Jim Berry clutch too? like???

  19. you don't want lag? and want 600hp at the wheels? sell the engine and buy an OS 3ltr.... or be prepared for lag central the closest you might get is say a JUN 2.7 crank with GTRS turbos...or a single TO4z morgs has the Z making a lazy 500 right now....

  21. if you want zero lag, and are willing to invest in a few other things than just turbos.... (no miracle setup here sorry....) GT-SS will give you 600-650 flywheel hp but you have to do more than bolt on the turbos and turn up the boost... search button gtss or my name or merli,600hp,kebab and a few others....
  22. Richard was that the cup car missing a lot of the front end parked up-hill from the control tower on saturday? or another fence/PCC car? I was at turn 4 and saw a bigggg lose in the first race on Saturday cold tyre oversteer and disappeared stage right.... any fotos?

  24. yep! the club "spec R" is growing I am sure..... if only they could make the settings a little more user friendly! marko and tommy when do you make 1 BAR? rpm? I get 1 BAR at 2900rpm I have a feeling both of you will make 1 BAR at similar RPM while the GTRS make more top end.... MUCH more top end... I smell 430kw marko
