  1. ....and always add $1,000-2,000 to the price they tell you. Most brokers are honest, but like real estate agents, they usually quote prices that are a bit too good to be true. I've imported my last 3 cars & I recommend it to people, but go in with your eyes open & don't expect to pay the figure they tell you, because that rarely, if ever, happens. It WILL cost you significantly more to get your car on the road. Good luck.
  2. Go to one of the larger import broker websites (eg: Prestige Motorsport or J-Spec) & use their import cost calculator. And just remember to add a couple of thousand bucks for unexpected stuff that always crops up. Good luck
  3. Here's the link to 2 1/2 minutes of Carlos Ghosn unveiling the Gt-R at the Tokyo motor show. Enjoy. http://www.thenewsmarket.com/Assets/AssetD...9a-903b720dd271 And here's a couple of minutes of vision of the car - it's Nissan's video press release. http://www.thenewsmarket.com/Releases/Stor...82d3&bhcp=1
  4. I take my 2 & 5 year olds in the S2 Stagea & they love it (the 2 year-old says "Go Daddy's new taaah" every time I take off from the lights). BUT, there's one small drawback - if you have the front seats all the way back, as I do, there is very little footroom for kids sitting in child seats. Other than that it's the perfect family truckster.
  5. I can personally recommend J & H Import Cars. www.importcars.com.au I've just imported my third car with them & all have been top notch. As far as I know it's basically just the one bloke - a Victorian-based Kiwi called John Whiteman - who's been dealing with Japanese imports for 25 years, much of that time working in Japan himself. These days he uses his contacts there to do the buying. His website doesn't have heaps of pics, but you tell him exactly what you want & he'll find it for you, then send you the pics & auction sheet before it goes to auction. His fee is the same as most of them, $1000. My Stagea has just arrived & it's everything he told me it was and more.
  6. If anyone finds a good source of these, I'm interested in exactly the same thing.
  7. OK, it's DISCOUNT time. The new car has arrived & I really need to sell the Skyline. Rego has just been paid, so you're getting a $500 cheaper BARGAIN. $12,500 inc RWC & 12 months rego!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I knew I'd leave some important info out! Yes, it's in Victoria - East Brighton to be precise. Give me a call on 0408 579 313 if you want to have a look at it - my name's Rob.
  9. Need a clean, straight 5 speed R33 GTS25t sedan to modify or drive as is? THIS IS IT!!! 1993 Vic reg. SKY 123 Gunmetal grey 97,000km (imported by me in 2003 with 72,000km) Boost Controller & new Cam Belt installed by Dr Drift in 2005 New RACV extra heavy duty battery Sony MP3/CD system Pirelli P6000 tyres RWC & rego Never crashed, never thrashed Exterior excellent Interior very good. This is has been my family's 2nd car since I imported it & it has never let me down (except for the poxy original battery, which is now history). It's a straight, plain-looking sedan, and I've NEVER been stopped by the cops in it. I've just imported a Mitsubishi RVR turbo for the family, so the beloved "Skorlorn" has to go ASAP. After originally advertising for $14,000, I'll now take $12,500. PM or give me a call on 0408 579 313.
  10. G'day, I love your Honda, but I'm afraid I'm not in the market for a 2 seater (where would the 2 child seats go?). However, I have an R33 GTST sedan for sale which you might be interested in. It's 5 speed manual, with no mods except for boost controller (never touched), bigger battery & new MP3 stereo. I imported this car myself 3 years ago & I love it but the family has outgrown it, so it's up for sale ($14k neg, inc rego & RWC). I'm in Melbourne & my new car has now arrived at the docks, so I need to sell the Skyline ASAP. PM me (pics available) or call 0408 579 313 if you want to discuss. Cheers - Sven.
  11. I'm in Melbourne & I have a 93 model 5 speed GTST sedan for sale. Totally stock except for: Boost controller Remote central locking/immobiliser Sony CD/MP3 player Brand new RACV premium (extra large) battery Pirelli P6000 tyres It's done 96,000km and has just been serviced. The cambelt was changed at 90,000km I imported it myself in early 2003 at 72,000km. No crashes that I'm aware of (I can put you onto the import broker who brought it in for me, he might have records). I'm really after a sale but I might consider a swap. For pics or more info PM me or email [email protected] Cheers - Sven
  12. Thanks fellas - replies sent. I'll still consider offers. One 1 car left: all stock must go!!!
  13. Last bump before the fat bloke comes down the chimney with my presents! Make me an offer & I'll make your day!!!!!
  14. Any offers will be considered. I need to sell before my new car comes off the boat.
  15. Bump. This is the straightest, cleanest turbo sedan you will see. Great family car, ready to modify.
  16. Pre-Xmas PRICE DROP!!! 1993 R33 GTST 4 door 5 speed 96,000km Metallic grey Pirelli P6000 tyres Boost controller Remote central locking Immobiliser New, bigger battery New cam belt at 90,000km Sony MP3 CD stereo An original car in excellent condition Well maintained, regularly serviced (by Dr Drift) Imported in 2002/03 by current owner (with 72,000km) Now just $14,900 with RWC & rego!!!!! Located in bayside Melbourne. As you see from the child-seat in the back, this has been my family's second car for the last 3 years. Unfortunately the family has outgrown the car, so I'm getting something bigger & less fun. I have to sell thsio car, even though I love it & it has given me absolutely no trouble since the day I imported it. This car has been so good to me, I'm importing my next car (Mitsubishi RVR turbo) through the same broker. Email me ([email protected]) or phone 0408 579 313.
