  1. Just make sure you don't change your mind after giving them the $1,000, 'coz you won't get it all back. Best of luck.
  2. Still for sale? Call me onj 0408 579 313 if it is ... otherwise PM me. Cheers - Sven
  3. I don't suppose this Stagea is still available, is it? If it is, please PM me, or preferably phone 0408 579 313 (I'm in Melbourne too). Cheers - Sven
  4. Show us a pic & I might be interested.
  5. As for NEO & non-NEO, the NEO engined cars were the series 2, which you can tell from the front because they have the headlights with 2 seperate lenses, rather than all in one rectangular block. Someone with more knowledge than me might be able to tell you in more detail, but that's an obvious difference. Try http://www.geocities.com/mcnamg/ for more details of models, features, etc.
  6. All the importing requirements are available from DOTARS (department of transport & regional services). They're the ones who have to approve the importation of any vehicle. Check out their website.
  7. Well if that's the case I'm off to Autobarn then! Thanx for your help. Cheers - Sven
  8. Thanks, I'd like to see the pics. Don't know about painting the cetre section on my car though, I prefer he see-through effect - goes well with the gun-metal grey. It's just the tail lights I'm not so crazy about. Actually I'm still really after one like what's in the picture I posted (start of this thread), but no-one seems to know where you get those.
  9. Thanx for those pics - they look prety good. But do you know if the white surounds can be painted, 'coz my car's gun-metal grey & it would look a bit silly with white lights.
  10. Thanks for replying. I've done a search but can't find any pics of the rear of a series 2 sedan. If you can come up with some I'd appreciate it. Any idea how much you'd want for them?
  11. I like the way you think! Tell me, can you import 2nd hand 15 year-old Japanese wives these days without needing to have them complied? My wife's child anchorage points & side intrusion bars keep getting in the way.
  12. Yeah, I might be interested, but I'm having trouble picturing the tail-lights. Also I'm not sure whether the series 2 lights would fit onto my series 1, but if you can post a pic I'll have a look & see what I reckon. As for the spoiler, I might be interested. What type is it (ie: genuine Nissan or aftermarket)? What colour? What does it look like (does it attach to the boot only or also the rear quarter panels)? Does it have the LED brake light in it? Once again if you can get a pic or 2 I'd be very interested to take a look. Cheers - Sven.
  13. Hey Ken thanks heaps for your response - most informative. I don't know about series2 compliance either- I'm hearing different things from different people, but from what I've seen of the specs that would be the one to go for. The fuel consumption figures you mentioned are significantly better than my R33, assuming you're doing city/suburban driving, so that's a positive. My only other question is this - does your car have a big hump in the floor next to the transmission tunnel in front of the front passenger's seat? My R33 does & my wife hates it - reckons it's impossible for her to get comfortable. I dunno ... maybe that's just an excuse so we take her car! Cheers - Sven
  14. G'day all of you. I drive a 93 model R33 GTST sedan which I imported a couple of years ago. I love the car but as my family gets bigger the car seems to get smaller, so a Stagea looks like the logical alternative. Just looking at the specs, I think I'm after a series 2 (is that what they're called) with the NEO engine. So can I ask you guys: Is there a significant difference in useable power between series 1 & series 2 cars Is a Stagea much slower than a GTST because of the extra weight & AWD Does the AWD system run RWD until it senses a loss of grip? What is fuel consumption like - I know my Skyline is a thirsty beast How have you gone with servicing & parts? Overall would you recommend the Stagea experience? What are the best & worst things about owning/driving a Stagea? Thanks for taking the time to read this & I hope you'll help me out. Maybe soon I can share the joys of the Stagea with you all. Cheers - Sven
