ROH Drift R's 18x9 all round
Brazen replied to Crab-86's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Might be interested depending on price - got quoted $375 a rim brand new for them a while back in 18s = $1500... howd you work out your sale price? Any chance of it dropping?? -

"Hans"?? If u mean Hanson - he is still there... if you mean Jan - he's left... maybe Hans was their Swedish lovechild?? Or maybe you dont even know the names of the tuners your passing judgment on - which can be dangerous when ur playing with people's reputations. XSpeed are damn fine in my opinion - and even better with the new workshop and crew on board - Im sure every workshop has the odd tale or two or unhappy customer - but Ive been going to Hanson for work for more than 2 years on 2 different cars and they've got my vote. Yet to have work done anywhere else, but since having the Stagea both Ken at Hyperdrive and Jeff at C-Red have also always had more than enough time to offer good advice and information... so I am sure I'll end up on their hoists as well at some stage... especially once the damn daughterboard group buy for the Neo6 works out and Hyperdrive can throw it in the Stag! Hey Dr Drift Thanks, but Ian is most in need of a similar direct link to the MAP (rom data spec)which Ed said was on the grid site?

Call me stupid SK - but I cant get my head around this - didnt really think about it when you did this reply above, but... If 7/6 is around a 137% increase and way too hard, and 30% increase is ideal ... arent the Tein S Tech springs ok, being 3.1 Front (172pounds/inch or 4% increase over stock) and 3.8 Rear (213pnds/inch or 25% over stock). The Tein S Tech lowering springs would end up under the 30% max you recommended, with 25% increase at the rear, and pretty much same stiffness at front with only a 4% increase.... but you have said before the Tein spring are way too stiff.... am I still missing something in all this suspension mumbo jumbo??? Cheers

Customs Notice on car parts $220?
Brazen replied to Reedy's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
OK digging up this old thread to ask my question (I believe in recycling )... what about fees on importing USED parts? I imagine Import Duties would still be payable - but what about GST - coz isnt that only charged on new goods - not second hand? (eg there's no GST on second hand cars is there?) So for example if I imported a second hand set of rims - would there be GST as well as duties? Secondly - saw on today's Budget announcement by Costello a quick flash up on the TV screen saying "Import Tariffs Abolished" - anyone know what that relates too? Adam -
I would imagine if you could clearly demonstrate the bonnet was completely sealed off from the vent (no possibility of fluids gettingt through) you'd be ok - coz it wouldnt be a vent - itd be a lump on top of your bonnet lol  But u know how it works - depends on the cop who stops u - might just hit u with a yellow and leave it for the inspector to determine if its properly sealed. And I am not sure if its the same in other States - but dont underestimate the value of walking into an inspection centre and politely chatting to an inspector who isnt busy inspecting - they always pull out all the extra detail and copy it for me when Im thinking about a mod. Great to have on file to show to a nicer cop who might be genuinely ok with having it clarified for them when they enquire about a mod uve got. But if you know u've scored a tard cop then dont even bother agitating them with documents.

Got a melbourne based series 2 stagea?
Brazen replied to ian's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Ian u shouldnt be looking mate - u shouldnt have any spare time - I expect every waking hour to be spent sorting out that daughterboard group buy lol! 260RS mmmm -
Actually not the worst price considering its 2000 model manual with very low kms.... there are 2000 model, automatic, rear wheel drive only Stageas for sale in QLD for $34,000! I see your argument Jay - and me and SK were at odds over it in another thread previously... but it all comes down to an individual's budget I guess. I am still gonna mod my Series 2 as much as I would have a Series 1 (ie - do everything possible) and not fuss about the extra $5000 I might have paid - plus I am happy that I start with a Neo6 engine with the much higher torque particularly, lower kms, less age on the car, 4 x airbags, tiptronic (seeings Jackie doesnt want manual its better than straight auto) etc etc.... so yeah as u say its up to the individual - but the extra $ for a series 2 was no biggie to me and I think it has alot of advantages as a base to mod from than a series 1.

Actually sorry her32 thats incorrect - vents are allowed, but they cant have openings facing the windshield no matter where they are positioned so you'd need to block it up. Here's the basic skinny from the DPI website: Thats the basics - but Ive also got the printed long version - which I almost wasnt gonna be bothered typing - but hey - got nothin else to do so here you go: Adam

Post Pics Of Your Fav Body Kit (Any Car)
Brazen replied to eXc's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hows this Stagea kit for inspiration LOL... just wrong in so many ways! -
Decided to get Masa kit... but how?
Brazen replied to Brazen's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Australia-wide coz its laid down under the Australian Design Rules. But yeah - thats what Im hoping - that the change of bumper support and panels and headlight is relatively easy - but still likely to be a good 6 hrs professional labour - $400 odd bucks a time - so I think I'm gonna have to get to know how to swap it myself to save $ and do it in a weekend every time I get defected. -
Bump * this thread was one rung away from hitting the second page - couldnt let that happen - so back to the top it goes until something comes of this groupbuy
-
Nope - from MJR Motorsport in Brisbane (registered RAW for Stageas) - good blokes and heaps cheaper, for better condition cars with lower kms, than autowholesale was even with freight across the country I had a trade-in so price was a bit skewed - but if it were a cash sale probably would've been somewhere around $26,500 or thereabouts.
