HI Guys - after a quick answer if anyone knows... been offered a set of King Springs a guy had on his R34 GTT... will these go straight on to my Series 2 Stagea? 1) Are they likely to be same fitment 2) Would there be a different rear spring set needed for heavier wagon rear end or will I be ok? Thanks. Even if u dont know but know the phone number for King SPrings direct thatd be great! Cheers Adam

Yeah pics of rims please - [email protected] -
Yep still being made... But talked to the few RAWS doing Stageas and they said the latest model they are likely to get compliance approval for in the next few years is for 2001 models maybe 2002 but not as confident).... so the first year of the new shape M35. The QLD RAW said they werent likely to proceed with a sample compliance vehicle though for AT LEAST 18 months. So if your question was more to find out the LATEST YEAR you can currently find to buy - then I have seen a couple of 2000 model Stageas in QLD car-yards (both rear wheel drive - but I am sure AWD will start coming thorugh in 2000 year but cost around $35,000). Cheers Adam

Hmmm maybe no need for another forum - but the forming of a club would be cool. Here is a couple of lame suggestions for acronyms... DUST .... Down Under Stagea Tuners STAG .... Stagea Tuners Australia Group or how about PSI ... Performance Stageas Inc. (PSI obviously relating to boost)... with a logo for stickers something like this ....

A few more random Stag audio pics I cam eacross on this site... http://www.soundgarage.co.jp/photo/main.html

Thanks Lone trying to do the math... that sale thread works out at $500 for the CAT and dump... plus been quoted around $750 fitted for an HKS 3" Superflow exhaust (Stagea specific) from a tune shop here... $1250 before paying for pipe/cat fitment The tune shop doing the zaust quoted around $1400 all up for zaust and 3" dump/front and high flow cat... I think being a car noob Im probably better of paying the extra $150 to have everything done and warrantied by my tune guys (itd prob cost that for the CAT/pipe fitment anyway?). I am on a steep learning curve with all this stuff - but for $1400 turbo-back including HKS zaust might just go ahead with that quote... sound ok???
-
Bahaha - not only +40kW but some backend weight to help lift the front wheels off the ground on launch a-la dragster style
-
As if you are too flat out Lone... I'll take membership #1, or #2 if u've already nabbed it ;p Happy to help with site moderating etc if u ever get around to it - and ok with graphic design too for logo/stickers etc... hmmm. OzStags.com... hmmmm

Another question... I found a guy selling a brand new set of Yokohama AVS Sport Tyres for $700 but they are 265/35/18 .... that sounds dam wide - can u only fit that to really wide rims or will they go on a set of 18x8s ??? Thanks
-
Hey Lone and SK Good info - was looking at that Cat and dump pipe thread myself .... now for the dumbass question SK... If mine is a Series 2 stagea should I be ordering the R34GTT front/dump pipe or the R33 one Lone is getting???? I hate being so unknowledgable about cars Cheers Adam

Awesome - put me down for a sticker/badge/cap/shirt/lowered springs ;p PS offtopic: Hey Prank - u get my PM about that Jerry guy - can u help at all??
-
Who did you deal with at Huish Fabrication?? I got quoted $450 + $70 all wired up = $520 all up.... not quite the $350 you got it for I think I got the off-sider quoting though - who should I talk too at Huish for the $350 price!?
-
Yeah - white AVS it is - but even sweeter is that I just found out they are the brand new model T6 - not the old Model 6... noice! Yeah Duncan... Gonna get 235 tyres all round - $700 the set brand new
-
Yeah Sydneykid - looks like the way itll work out if i get that set... they are Potenzas so should be able to get a little bit for them with 60% tread left - and then get a pair of Nixens or whatever in their place... OK final opinions please - down to 2 options for second hand rims for my YELLOW series 2 Stagea Option 1 $1750 all up for 350Z 18x8 stock silver rims, 2 x 60% Potenzas and two new tyres (less whatever I can get for the two Potenzas I offload) Option 2 $1750 all up for AVS Model 6 WHITE 5-spokes ($1050 only done 2000kms since new no scratches) + 4 x Nixen tyres $700 So yeah with pictures the choice is... AVS Model 6 white... OR Stock 350Zs... Opinions appreciated - I am either way on this... I know some people dont like white - I usually dont except on bright yellow cars for some reason... but yeah - I'll put it to a vote - which option would you choose!!!??? Thanks

Thanks J Aaargh this is so confusing... I phoned two of the well known tuning places in Perth and both said that this small difference in profile wouldnt have any impact at all - "not a problem - do it all the time with Atessa system - it is built to deal with small variables - just not huge ones like different rim sizes front and rear" ... dam confusing!!! But yeah in answer to your question - 350Z rims 18x8s all round if you get the "Touring" spec - "Track" version of 350Z had 18x9s on the rear. But yeah the bum is they all came standard with diff tyre profiles front and rear. Anyway - they look quite nice - I saw this yellow one same as mine with them fitted - so will look exactly like this... http://www.autotrader.com.au/Photos/W64561204616.jpg I have found a set with good tread left for $1400... but am spewing coz a friend of a mate sold his stock 350Z rims 2 months ago with brand new with tyres for $400 all 4 !!!

Hi guys Quick question I am hoping someone can answer for me quickly coz I have to finalise today if I am going to buy a set of rims. Got a good price on a set of 350Z 18x8s... however the front tyres are 225/45 and the rears are 245/45.... WHAT EXACTLY will happen to the car if I run these differing profile tyres on the 4WD Stagea for 8 months or so til they need changing???????????????? Thanks!!!!!!!!
-
They are for a Series 2 Stagea (1998 with the Neo6 engine) - GTT rims and 350Z rims definitely bolt straight on. And info for any1 with cheap aftermarkets - wheelarch fits up to 8inches wide rims no probs (9s on the back but prefer same all round coz of 4WD) and as said 1st post - offset best anywhere between +26 and +40. Cheers - but still after any1 in QLD thinking of offloading rims - car going to be transported late next week to WA so keen to do a deal before it leaves the yard in QLD. Might even stretch to $1200ish for a set of rims that fit what I want... As I said its a canary yellow car so ideally searching for black or gunmetal or bronze 1st preference (up to $1200 - $1400), 2nd preference white (up to $1100), and third preference a cheaper silver set ($800 to $1000). Not interested in chromies. But yeah it all depends on the rims - like if any1 had a set of scuffed up R34 GTRs going cheap then id really be willing to go higher still... its all relative - but for a stock set of GTTs for example they would be just interim rims while I search for a black set - hence why only looking at $800 or so - UNLESS they were the rarer gunmetal GTT rims the prob id pay more!... but yeah - any1 with rims in QLD please email me at [email protected] and Illl consider them. PMs Ill respond to next monday - emails daily. Thanks Adam

Still hoping... will pay a bit more for the right rims... any1 got nice rims in QLD, aftermarket or stock (350Z or GTT etc)!!???

R34 GT-T Wheels and Brand new tyres

u sold these? gunmetal or silver? email or post pics plz [email protected] -
BUMP any1 got rims?

Hi I am in Perth but have bought a car from QLD that will be transported over next week or so. I am frantically looking for a cheap, nice set of aftermarket rims to go on before it comes over (coz the yard will give me good $ for the stock rims and tyres). Prefer 18x8s, but might go for nice 17s (like a set of stock GTT rims in gunmetal pref, but maybe silver). Offset between +26 and +40. Its a yellow car so Id be particularly keen if anyone has some gunmetal or dark rims, then second preference white, then silver. Must have roadworthy tyres on them. Price I want to pay depends on preference for rims - see message below for more info. Quick deal willing to be done for right rims and u would just need to drop them at the car yard. Email or PM pics and details... if they are REAL nice and u want a bit more $ then still PM me and I might be tempted. thanks Adam [email protected] or PM me

Thanks Gary - be great to know... thats the one bit of info I am hanging out for most... I would be most greatful to ANYONE who can confirm what offset ranges can fit 18 x 9 inch rims inside the Stagea front wheelarch!!!!!!! If we can confirm that we will know if GTR rims fit in, or any brandname 18x9 we'll know what offset we need exactly Someone must have a mate with a GTR that can do a quick test of fit at the front by swapping a wheel over

R34 GT-T Wheels and Brand new tyres
Brazen replied to ravensfan's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
i sent u a PM about these... im interested but $1200 seems steep seeing there are two other current threads with GTT rims for sale... $600 with two dodgy tyres, and $800 with four good treaded Eagle-1s !! Are these the silver or gunmetal stock GTT rims? Might be interested if price more like all the other GTT rims selling in here... let me know
