  1. Ahh - in that case - no chance of getting an engineers certificate anyway - plastic full front bumper and fenders against ADR requirements for cars 1996 and earlier - so yellow stickerable no matter what But I was gonna do it anyway and just keep the original panels in case I ever got done.

Most of the specs are GTT stuff... engine, intercooler, brakes, tiptronic/manual... etc etc. Youve probably seen most of the stuff in the Stagea section... and posted my reason for selling there too - basically realised I had the 'project car' the wrong way around - the missus would end up driving 230rwkw in school zones, and Id be taking the highways to work in a bomb... so flipping to a V35 for me and a basic wagon for her... so nothing to do with Stagea itself - its awesome! But has to go to pay for the V35

  4. Hi guys Moving fast towards my V35 purchase... should only be a couple months now til the final govt decision on compliance Anyways - coz no-ones been importing them privately yet and the yards are keeping their auction prices to themselves Im finding it hard to get a good amount of sales history on the V35 coupe from auctions to give me a good indication on what's a reasonable price to pay for different spec levels. I'm not after "general" indications / opinions... Ive got that already - I'm hoping any of you that are signed up and get through sales info data from auctions can look up the past month or two of V35 coupes and copy and paste it to me by email. A guy from the silvia site sent me through a few he had... but its hard to get an accurate indication from just a few examples - I really need a month or so worth to see what different specs/kms/etc go for. This is the few I got so far - hoping people can email or PM me more of the same... 5. Interesting! - Just spoke to the guy - he got it from Japan like that - having to borrow original panels from another Stagea to comply it... said he'd be asking around $50,000 for it. But it doesnt come with the original panels - so no good here in WA coz we cant have plastic panels or carbon fibre bonnets - so ud want original panels to put back on if you ever got stickered. However he said he could "throw in" some original Stagea panels... but you still wouldnt have headlights, mounting kit etc Plus theyd be RSFour panels... I think the original 260RS for $40,000 plus getting your own new Masa kit would be the way to go. Here's a pic anyways... looks silver to me but the guy said its the Nur-spec champaign/gold colour (respray)...
  6. Great find - that site is awesome! Has everything!! Even has sound clips of tonnes of exhaust types fitted to the VQ35DE!!! http://www.g35turbo.com/Exhaust-Sound-Clips.html

  8. How much would a 260RS with GTR front cost... easy answer coz I nearly went there last week before deciding on a V35... 260RS for sale over here right now in WA for a low $39,990 + Masa front end including headlights and everything $3500 + shipping (could be worked out for free easily) + fitting and painting. ** Note these are FRP panels so not legal in any state (dont meet ADR crash rules) - so keep your 260RS panels to swap back everytime you get yellow stickered - but hey not many cops would know that they never looked like that from factory - in fact on seeing the RB26DETT under the bonnet they'd prob think the GTR front looks more genuine than the normal 260RS front. = Probably $46,000 all up for a 260RS with R34 front end Adam
  9. yup good stuff on the Stagea choice - and as SK said - the search button is your friend! All your question are answered in these forums already! All except maybe one - which is a current price of the Masa front end.... I got a quote through from Ken at JapanParts.com for the front end of the kit complete (front bar, bonnet, fenders, headlights, indicators, all mounting components) of 273,000 yen (AU$3500) + shipping... and if you are creative you could organise free shipping... PM me if you're NOT creative though and I'll offer some suggestions I had teed up. But for all your other info... happy searching and reading! Adam PS. Did I mention my Stagea is for sale?
  10. Yeah ud need one - but has already been proven ok so eng cert no prob - in fact one place - APS - does a "Twin Turbo Package" for this engine (done a few of them already on 350Z's - same engine) that is already ADR approved and legal australia wide - your car comes back provided with an Engineers Certificate and ADR sign-off already done! Check the twin turbo 350Z they did in the current issue of Fast Fours (June 2005 - 350Z on front cover) Adam

  20. Mmmm Axis looks tasty - pity all the RAWS Ive asked arent even thinking about starting the compliance process for them yet You know any different goss Jake? Thanks for the price info... be good to see if the manual coupes go for any more or less. Gives me a good idea of what to set my budget at through the car yards ... cheers Jake. And Jay - yeah its surprising but most of the pics I seem to find are of the USA verion called the Infinity G35... but the Jap imports will be right hand drive Here's a few of the many links starting to fill up my "Favourites" folder, for people starting to think about the V35... http://history.jbskyline.net/index5.php#11thgen http://www.g-owners.com/ http://www.nissan.co.jp/OPTIONAL-PA...V35/sk_000.html http://skyline2.nissan.co.jp/top.html http://www.ings-net.com/products/V35/ Adam
