  4. the engine does not run and not interested in swaps. cheers guys
  5. bnr324, no offence taken mate. fourth post down I revised it to $12500 and below that wrote taking offers (it's amazing how much the import scene has been affected with the price of fuel/new p-plate laws etc). so while 14k is too high, I don't think asking for offers from the revised price is unreasonable. I do think $5000 for a 1994 gtr with 12 months reg is however. Out of curiousity what year was the 32 you sold? MP R33 keep up the great work cheers guys

  11. the sound only disappeared after i removed the alternator belt. when the sound was present it did increase with revs. thanks dale
  12. sorry should have been more specific. the noise could be heard at idle and sounded like it was coming from the bottom of the engine, which rules out those possibilities...
  13. Hey guys, long time browser of these forums and wondering if I could now get some help. The car is a 1994 r32 GTR. Not so long ago my car began making this dreaded knocking sound that I have read about over and over again. I read many threads regarding the likelihood of this sound meaning the car had spun a bearing (or was in the midst of), listened to a couple .wav samples of spun bearings and the sound my car was making is exactly the same. The car was still running and would drive fine, however I stopped driving it. I had accepted that I had spun a bearing (and the money i was about to spend) Anyway today i cut the belts off one by one to make sure and once I cut the alternator belt, the knocking sound seems to have disappeared. Basically what I want to know is does this pretty much mean that my car IS NOT about to spin a bearing, or can the fact that there is no more load (?) on the balancer mean that it wont make that knocking sound. ANY ENLIGHTENMENT/HELP APPRECIATED Cheers Dale
