Borg Warner EFR Series Turbo's V 2.0
mr_rbman replied to Piggaz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
from my understanding it's like any 'tool' in which you use to measure... It comes down to calibration...then the method used to calibrate... As has been mentioned many times take dyno readings with a grain of salt and use them primarily as a tuning tool.. -

ye mines the genuine Garage Defend item, I picked it up last week on one of those 40+ degree days and it had to sit in my car for the majority......so I'm not sure if it's not sitting right due to that or another factor. To the eye it doesn't appear to have deformed in anyway but I guess I'll never know. You doing AJD? -

cheers, I'm hoping I've achieved the right amount of carbon without making it 'tacky' I'm fairly happy... As josh mentioned above, does yours sit above or below your grill? -

haha, interesting you say this......I googled as when I was fitting it neither way seemed to be quite right, all the pictures I found showed it the way you see above... but in saying that it doesn't sit 100% right around the bonnet latch so I may try the other way and see if it makes a difference... cheers -

Looking to Buy R32 GTR Need advice
mr_rbman replied to darkparagon's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
In all honesty I can't ever see them coming down, maybe stagnate but never go back down....It comes back to supply and demand. There are far fewer cleaner examples these days and even less of the immaculate ones......and with the yanks now grabbing them this has been exacerbated. This being the main reason I bought my SIL80 and my GTR will go from being a weekend warrior and hillclimb car to just a special occasion/weekend warrior... -
I've seen this car in the flesh and appears to be quite a clean example. Don't know the car nor been for a drive but if I was in the market it'd be one I'd consider.

Looking to Buy R32 GTR Need advice
mr_rbman replied to darkparagon's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Well why do you want an R32 GTR? I think if you can answer that then you will answer your own question. If you just want one as it appears as though it's what everyone else wants or to just say you've had one then it's probably not the 'smarter' option. But if you want one as it's the car you've always wanted and you're not planning to ever sell (or anytime soon) then I would deem it to be a 'smart' option. Whatever you decide just be prepared to spend more money, the cleanest examples will still inevitably need money spending, don't buy one thinking you won't have to spend money on her. They're like a woman, even if you don't 'need' to spend money you will find yourself 'wanting' to spend money on her. -

Perhaps a slight exaggeration especially in todays market where a typical example fetches mid 30's...but as Glyn has pointed out they are nearing 30 years in age and were basically a supercar when released, they weren't bought just to putt back and forth to the shops typically Basically what I was getting at is if you're scraping together every last cent to buy one then it's probably not the car for you, you need to prepare for the inevitable maintenance issues at a minimum (heater hoses etc...) then you get hit with the 'GTR' tax on most things you buy... -

Want advice when looking to buy an R32 GTR?! Best piece of advice I heard many years ago was: 'If you can't afford to buy two of the R32 GTR's you want, then don't buy one!' So very true...but do I regret buying one? Not for a second... -
going to shift mine over to SGIC once my policy finishes up in April. Currently with Shannon's for agreed value of $40k but paying $125/month
-
I'd be lying if I said that thought hadn't crossed my mind too......I'm just in the same boat (excuse the pun ) as most other 32/34 fans, the 33 has never done it for me, only the series 3 midnight purple gets the juices flowing somewhat...

sa Rays Impul RSII wheels, ATR tyres
mr_rbman replied to mr_rbman's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Some pictures added. Not in a rush to sell but slightly negotiable. Picture #2 shows the only slight blemish, immaculate aside from that... Please note offset is +15 all round, not +12 as initially posted (can't edit OP) Can supply with almost new (<1000kms) Achilles ATR sports...or no tyres. -
mmmm, says $260 / $280 on that original post.......could be interested too, maybe save on shipping if we both get one?! I think @okooko was looking at one too?!

Been rather slack updating this :-/ Last programme more of a focus was put on body composition vs. outright strength.....decided to do my first ever 'cut' Started at 81.9kg (17.7%bf) Finished at 77.5kg (12.3%bf) I lost 5kg on my bench (110kg 1RM) 5kg on my squat (175kg 1RM) but managed a 5kg PB on my deadlift (255kg 1RM) Looking back on my goals they obviously shifted a little but happy with where I'm at. This programme (started yesterday is consisting of a lot more volume :-/) and a focus is getting more so back to strength, upping the calories etc. but hoping to try and only put back on 'clean' weight.

give me some feedback once you've taken them for a spin, I'm getting some suspension components fitted at the same time I do my tyres so will be a little while off giving mine a run...
