I am persisting as long as I can without straps and my grip has definitely improved significantly but still once I'm getting up around 160kg+ for reps the grip fails way before my strength does.
I am doing things to work on grip such as holding the weight at the top at the end of a set etc...
Curious to get peoples opinions/views on straps when deadlifting...
So I have only just begun using straps.......I only revert to straps once my grip fails and I'm unable to complete a set.....til then both my hands are in the overhand grip position......
Now until resorting to straps in the last few months I had always used the 'mix grip' even at lower weights.....
This was until I saw how much my rib cage etc. seemed to twist once I watched myself on video hence now going to straps.....
Just curious to know what you guys do......
13/5/15
Squats
6x4 @ 100kg
5x4 @ 105kg
4x4 @ 110kg
3x4 @ 115kg (failed last set on 4th rep)
NB push squats out to Thursday to give an extra days recovery from deadlifts.
hope this is the appropriate section to post......
just trying to suss the factory under bonnet colour for my gun metal grey R32 GTR....
I know the engine bay is satin black but is that also the same for under the bonnet or should it match the exterior colour of the bonnet (gun metal grey?)
Cheers!
Have recently bought an R32 GTR with built motor along with receipts.
It supposedly has the N1 oil pump and R33 GTR crank, is it just a case of having to trust that the receipts are as per what was done in the build or is there an easy way to confirm the crank is in fact the 33 GTR item and the oil pump is an N1, obviously without stripping the motor?
I have no reason to suspect that it isn't as per what was said to be done but now that I'm looking at turbos etc. I guess I just want some reassurance before I start winding up the wick so to speak......
Cheers!
I haven't done any sorta volume for over 2 years (max was 5x5) so this was killing me.......especially to begin with...... but my fitness is definitely improving and the reps are slowly starting to reduce as we head towards a 1RM attempt........
Will be interesting to see the results as I'd much prefer lifting heavy vs. volume................
you have read correct and certainly was taking quite a while at first but I seem to be conditioning to it far quicker recently.
last nights sesh took me 45 mins.
So 126 reps in total.
