  1. not that it really matters but isn't it if you use the rb25 crank and rods its classified as an rb23 and if you use the GTR rods and crank its an RB24? I was in the same possy as you about a year ago debating whether to go the rb24 or the rb30, i ended up going the 30det and haven't looked back since but props to you for going the RB24 and with you being in S.A i look forward to seeing it out at the track! Good Luck!
  2. i was sceptical at first aswell peeps but after doing a bit of research on them via google etc they appear to be quite a good product and r33kid is getting us a great deal, they're not a cheap china/taiwan brand remember, pretty sure they're made in the U.S from what i can recall!
  3. mmmmm, as duc said, why an mr2 over a skyline? I've driven one and your 235rwkw skyline would have shat all over it in every single way except you couldn't let the roof down in the skyline and let your hair blow in the wind. On topic, sounds like a fair price!
  4. i'll be in for one of these praccy days, i think on top of the $80 you'll need a day cams license too i think?
  5. Probably didn't make my first post very clear, i'm currnetly making 228rwkw's which feels quite nice on the street but as always more is better, I'm thinking with a FPR i should be able to make a safe/reliable 270 rwkw's (with my GTR injectors) which will suit me just fine, i figure that cams is whats holding me back engine/power wise! But as R33racer said i definitely don't have endless pockets so i'm going to take a bit of a risk and get some GTR cams and get a weld and regrind done to them along with some cam gears and at the same time i'll get my valvesprings installed along with my fuel pump and FPR. I figure these mods will get me up somewhere round my goal then i'll start saving for an rb25 gearbox and new clutch, unlike Cubes my car isn't a daily driver so i can afford to have it off the road for a while and at the moment my gearbox hasn't shown any signs of going bang and i do baby my shifts 95% of the time!
  6. heres my current list of mods! Do you guys think that adjustable cam gears and cams are my next natural progression of mods? A new fuel pump and valve springs will be going in at the same time but i figured while i'm getting the springs done i may aswell get the 'cam' stuff too! Mods are: fully rebuilt standard bottom end (approx 8:3:1) standard freshened up R32 Rb25de (non vvt head) will have GTR valve springs soon. full 3" stainless steel exhaust (custom dump pipe) 600x300x75 intercooler with 2.5" piping Apexi Ap engineering Power FC GT35/40 1.06 exhaust housing gtr fuel pump gtr injectors z32 afm catch can standard airbox with apexi panel filter and CAI Tell me what you guys think or if you have any other suggestions on where i should spend my money
  7. the alma have schnitzels that hang off the plate there too!
  8. i'm sorry i did read it but i'm confused as the guy i took it to, to get installed said i need to find the bolts/plugs so i just did as he asked cause he's the man everyone recommends in adelaide so i thought he'd know what he's talking about more than i would! i'd do it myself but i'm no good with this type of stuff and i'd be worried about screwing somthing up!
  9. sounds like a good idea!
  10. anyone know the thread size?
  11. cheers for that, couldn't find that thread when i searched, thinking i might pay someone to install it cause it all looks a bit confusing!
  12. i have a c's short shifter, feels great and would highly recommend!
  13. thats an awesome price dan hence the interest!
  14. mmmm, this is very tempting! pics?
  15. ye thats it, i'm sure we'll catch up sometime in the not too distant future!
  16. mmmm, i'm down to about 300 kms per tank, might have to get you to have a look at the values tonight joel if we get time!
  17. mmmm, could be in on this, got my pineapples to test out!
  18. by the way its an R32 gts-t Also is it best just to block the lines or re-route them back to the front pump? I did a search but there's conflicting answers!
  19. i took my hicas lock bar in to get installed today and the guy said i need some bolt/plugs to screw into the lines that you disconnect so that power steering fluid doesn't go everywhere. Does anyone know the size of the thread that i need to buy?
  20. let us know how you guy, will be installing my nismo diff sometime in the future. by the way jason do you by any chance know marcus with the 300zx?
  21. go see shaun at boostworx or brett at graham west (APE) I'd consider whacking a turbo on your na motor and run low boost, the response would be great and bein an r34 i'm presuming the motor has reasonably low k's so should be in pretty good nick. As long as the person tuning knows there stuff that is!
  22. these settings good for a 32 aswell? Getting some stuff installed and possibly a wheel alignment on friday? Is it a waste of time getting a wheel alignment if the current 16's your using you plan to get rid of in favour for 17's?
  23. definitely get your cooler cleaned, takes half hour tops and it should sort out your problem!
  24. well cleaned the cooler and took her for a spin and everything seems fine, will be modding my new catch can tomorrow putting some steel wool and a filter on it!
