  5. well i have a freshly built rb30 twin cam in my 32 with a rebuilt vg30 turbo. Its now done around 1600kms and everything up until now has been going pretty well. I went for a drive sunday and everything was fine, oil was normal level etc. I got home and parked my car in the garage, luckily my car is only a weekender but when i went out to the shed monday afternoon there was oil drippings on the floor across the front, coming out of the hoses. This afternoon i finally got a chance to check it out closer only to find close to a litre of oil in the cooler and oil all through the piping! Basically the only thing i can think is its either the turbo or the rings. I really hope its the turbo but as i said it was rebuilt by ats here in adelaide. It has been making quite a loud whistle/howl since its been running but i don't know if this could be related! Someone please help me or reassure me cause i dont know if i can afford to have the engine rebuilt again! Cheers!!!
  6. you don't need to quieten your car up any more, its already a heap quieter than mine. I ended up gutting my cat and did notice a bit of improvement (also made it even louder) but haven't put a pipe through it as it tapers in slightly and you can't get a bit of 3" through it! Not sure if its just mine or all cats are like this!

  8. probably wasn't very clear in my first post. i'm basically look at making straight through cats for mine and my mates cars and i'd also like some 3" flanges off them! So basically i'm just after ones that are shagged an no one wants any more, none of these expensive ones!

  10. rb30/26 for sure, its worth the small hassle. My rb30/25 only has 166rwkw's but compared to my old rb20 which had 159rwkw's it leaves it for dead! The 26 head will be even better! i probably wouldn't waste your time ceramic coating the pistons and save that money for something else!

  13. i just found a trust panel filter to suit the 32, anyone know if these are better than the k&n ones or are they all about the same?
  14. gone the whole pod route before and want to stick with the airbox due to having an rb30 in my car and wanting to keep the stealth/stock look.

  16. i can't find anywhere a panel filter to suit my r32 gts-t standard airbox but i thought i remembered someone on here a while back saying that one for a vn commodore fitted or something similair! Any help would be much appreciated!

  21. i ran it for 10 mins with some cheap oil, then dropped that out and put some quality mineral oil in and drove it round for the next 500k's giving it a bit of load (about 75%) up to around 4000rpm max. Once it got to 500 k's i did another oil change with the same oil again until 1000k's where i went and got it dyno tuned and had the wastegate actuator re-connected (used no boost for first 1000kms). Have now done around 1500kms with 10 psi. Will do next oil change at 5000kms! From a thousand k's i started to give the car a bit of stick revving it to about 6500rpm and she feels great!
