  2. What spark plugs r u guys using in your 25/30det combo or what ones would you recommend? also does anyone have the part number for a SERIES '1' rb25det oil pump or any differing numbers/markings to the series2?
  3. What spark plugs r u guys using in your 25/30det combo or what ones would you recommend?
  4. Just wondering if anyone out there has an engine crane that i would be able to borrow for a little while? In return for a carton of your favourite beer.
  5. I plan on taking my video camera with me to the dyno day, was just wondering if there is anyone here who does not wish to have there car filmed? The footage will not be put on the net as its not a digital camera and won't be shown to anyone and will only be taken for personal use!
  6. i'm pretty sure every dyno will do a/f ratio's otherwise they risk doing damage to your car if something is out!
  7. oh cool, will ask them when i pick up my vrs gasket kit! Will c u on saturday at the dyno day, can't wait to see your beast on the dyno!
  8. mmmmm, wish i still had my 18's so i could swap with ya, these r just what i want and i'm in adelaide, doh!
  9. just wonderin where you guys got your oil pump gasket? Have tried all the usuals like repco, sprints, motormate and supercheap and in all their books it doesn't seem to list them, any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Had my engine booked in for this friday to get the finishing touches but it looks like i might have to change the dates because i'm having a bit of trouble finding a secondhand series 1 Rb25DET oil pump, Getting the gasket for the oil pump and there's been a bit of a delay with getting my VRS gasket kit for Nissa (Japan) should hopefully be here this Thursday though! ARGH! the drama's of building an engine, fingers crossed it'll all be worth it!
  10. so the 32 one doesn't come with hand controller?
  11. saw this baby at the drift comp on the weekend in the car park, not the biggest fan of 33's in general but i like this one!
  12. will u seperate the rears? if so i may be interested!
  13. Joel, he's getting the guy out at mallala to do it, think his company is allen engineering or something!
  14. any more pics of that car, i luv it!
  15. mmmmm, good to see you've looked at plenty of engines and read the rb30 guide!
  16. mmmmmm, can't wait to c the results!
  17. ^^^^^^^ mmmm only my dream rims!
  18. sorry mate, just an observation!
  19. I don't have the shadow chrome 18's any more (too much unwanted attention) and the ones on the rear are my drift/fun rims! Washed my car today so i thought i'd go for a quick drive to my favourite spot and take some more piccies with the rims i use majority of the time! (new pics added!)
  20. will this be on your car by the dyno comp on the 22nd darren? would be awesome to see the figures of this baby!
  21. ouch, that timing belt looks awfully close to hitting, thats a ticking time bomb if u ask me!
  22. don't have a series 1 oil pump do you?
  23. i see, no worries. the guy putting my engine together will be doing my head, thats the reason for not putting it on, i think i'll just spend the extra and let him put it on!
  24. but if i bolt up the head and it needs to be machined isn't it a waste of time and a head gasket? bolting up the water pump won't interfere with drilling the holes for the pulley's will it?
  25. I have my bottom end built now but its pretty much bare, the sump isn't bolted up yet, holes for pulleys haven't been drilled, water pump, oil pump, harmonic balancer etc isn't on there yet but i have everything. I'm taking the bottom end and head to the engine builder in 3 weeks to get the holes drilled for the pulleys, get the timing belt put on and torqued up, head machined if needed and have the valves reseated if needed and get the head bolted on with the head gasket What i basically wanna know is what should i bolt up before taking it there and what shouldn't i, was thinking not to put the sump on incase any crap gets in there. I want the engine builder to do as little as possible to save a bit of money and thats why i'm bolting up the water and oil pump etc myself but i just wanna know the order to do it all in! cheers in advance!
