  1. nah, no cat and like i said i just got a new custom exhaust (cat back) 2 months ago, its 3inch, 1 centre muffler and last 50cm is 4inch Sam reckons that cam gears will make a big difference in boost response, so i'll be getting a set soon.... you don't have a cat either do you?
  2. i need cam gears after last night, lol
  3. thats why you should only buy forged rims (not brittle cast ones )
  4. got any pics? transfer case included?
  5. fark. Thats pretty bad luck. Did the towtruck guy have a hard time getting you on the back of the tow truck? I guess its a free lesson to everyone else here that has these kind of sh1t cast rims....get rid of them now
  6. if this was for sale 12 months from now, i would have bought it straight away good luck sellin it, don't lower the price for anyone! its easily worth it
  7. mine works the opposite way people should just get the brochure on the new v-power fuel, it says that there is a new friction modifier added and thats it....IMO still a marketing exercise
  8. all this V-Power is just a marketing exercise. Its just the same Optimax and Optimax extreme but rebranded to go with the global Shell marketing name. as long as everyone knows that optimax extreme has 5% ethanol.....and ethanol leans out mixtures by quite a bit.....
  9. thanks Peter i got it today and all looks good very quick service
  10. i don't get it Roy, whats so good about a old escort? ok, its got mods but i don't understand what people see in old sh1tty ford escorts. Better to start with a newer chasis like an s13 for example and building it up from there ++++++ escorts are butt ugly
  11. you mean the broken o-ring? nope no pics.
  12. if your mechanic suggested to replace the injector without first diagnosing if it is infact the problem then i would be going elsewhere what i did was take it to my mechanic, he then pulled out the injector, found the broken o-ring, looked at the injector (a nismo 555cc one in this case), replaced the o-ring, and pressure tested the fuel system to (i think) twice the required working pressure and all was sweet. IMO, buying a second hand injector is cheap, but no point if the problem isn't identified with certainty.....
  13. they work for me....
  14. my 2c is that friday night drags are bullsh1t for anyone with a desk job that finishes at 5-5:30pm i would love to go if it started at 8pm and finished at 1am or so but meh.
  15. auto n/a lancer if you really wanted a lancer, you should have got a evo6 etc
  16. are you sure the o-ring hasn't just broken? I had that happen and at idle i would get a very small spray/leak....which created a puddle on the garage floor after a minute of idling
  17. yeah, i guess i won't be coming to any friday drags
  18. what time do we have to get there by? seeing as i finish work at 5:15 earliest....
  19. omg i was just about to post that link! you beat me to it by less than a minute
  20. if you've still got the stock lift pump, then i'm gonna say that its probably at the end of its long life....
  21. and thats why in 8 months or so i will have a 32 gtst for track and road use i can't wait!
  22. i'm a little surprised all the tickets went so quick, but i guess they were free....
  23. is this his anti global warming crusade? his film was "an inconvenient truth" yeah?
  24. the compression test is a good place to start also do a leakdown test to reveal any problems. Also don't use racv, go to a performance mechanic who knows what to look for and what he's doing. I went to racv a few years ago and i was very dissapointed (plus they charge $320 for an inspection)
