  1. cool, we'll arrange something then
  2. thats was a pretty inspirational post Troy! as you say, 250kg lighter with a competent driver can sure close down the gap to those gtrs.... Perhaps you'll let me take up that offer of a ride with your TD06? i can repay with a ride in my 32 HKS GTRS equipped.... :sorcerer:
  3. ^^^ it'll be sweet for your car mate
  4. ^^^ seems like alot of hassle and unknown combinations...easiest just to buy the HKS GTRS kit
  5. ^^^ pm 'roy' on these forums. He regularly takes his 32 RB20 out on tracks and i'm sure he can answer all your q's. i think he's making 235rwkw with a TD06 8cm on a highmount trust manifold.... edit: do a search he's pretty active on the forums... here you go: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=126750&hl=
  6. hey guys, i've got a HKS GTRS on the RB20 with tuning to be finished on wednesday, so we can see what kind of response/power we get.... a GTRS is basically a GT2871r 52trim, .64, with T3 flange so it bolted on with no hassles, also came with cast 90degree elbow which you *need* and all oil & water lines....pretty much the hassle free way to go when compared with the cost of getting custom water & oil lines, bolts, washers, cast elbow etc....the HKS GTRS is not that expensive compared to just the garrett GT2871r....
  7. ^^ can't help you there
  8. if you want 250rwkw, then you will not have much power at 3500-4000rpm. Infact you will have bugger all. I had a shitty highflow that made 210rwkw and that didn't hit full boost till almost 5000rpm....if you want good response you will need at least a RB25 to achieve 250rwkw... you can safely rev a rb20 to 7500 after that its your risk..
  9. You can put me down for 1 too edit: just realised that you are making the peakhold features...so nevermind what i wrote below... Is it possble for you to make a peak hold feature that remembes the highest values reached? This is what i find is the most useful after a thrash - cos you can check the eg: water temps reached afterwards as not much time to look during driving Currently i have one of impakt's consult lcd display's which has the peak hold features - but it's a bit too bulky to permanty mount somewhere properly...
  10. cheers dude its not a bad price considering whats done to it...
  11. where is it advertised? how much do they want for it?
  12. thats a pretty good price, i would buy it but its got a sunroof.. so no headroom for me free bump!
  13. sounds like a good idea....i'm in

pm '180athid' on these forums and ns.com - he rolled my guards, did a good job... $45 a corner...
  16. good work mate!
  17. ^^^are you running a thermostat with the oil cooler? if not, then how long does it take for the oil to get to 80-90 degrees?
  18. he's right about 1 thing. RACV knows nothing about imports. I had a pre-purchase inspection done with them - and they did nothing but point out visible faults on the car which i had already seen. basically totally wasted $350 the only people that know anything are preformance tuning shops that specialise in imports - eg DrDrift etc...
  19. If the dealer services the car and does all the usual things like oil change etc, they usually use the cheapest oil etc that they can find. My advice would be to either get the car serivced by a different shop and for you to provide such things like good quality synthetic Motul oil, as theres not much point in paying for a service if they are going to use shit products.... otherwise just serivce it yourself/ or a trusted mechanic - and you will be happier with the job & parts used... anyway, that looks like a very clean 32 you have there hope to see you on a sau cruise!

  21. i pay $350 for 3rd party with JustCars. The money i saved over the last few years by not paying for full insurance would be probably almost be enough to buy another 32...
  22. cool, thanks for that. i should be sweet then
  23. i also had my belt tensioner bearings changed, is this also a common replacement item too? i think mine were both stuffed...
  24. that sucks, but at least they were stolen before you fixed them....would have been worse if you had spent the $$ to get them fixed and then they were stolen... haha, the thieves probably thought they were getting mint condition mags, they'll get a shock later on
