  1. I had my local exhaust shop send it away to these guys: HPC 6 Watsons Rd Industrial Park Leongatha 3953 Ph: 03 5662 4719 email: [email protected] www.hpcoatings.com.au
  2. looks good dude!
  3. Is that right? I thought RB20 and SR both had a comp ratio of 8.5:1? thats what it says in the factory brochures/manuals....
  4. there's certainly some good choices.....i picked 8 but no 2 was pretty good...
  5. eats? not sure about that, why would it if the F driveshaft doesn't turn?
  6. thanks for that
  7. yeah, there's something special about seeing a nice chick driving hard
  8. so he was pleased that his 200 was thrashed by someone other than him? hmmm...
  9. hmm, so how does the air actually dirty the oil, presuming a good engine with not much blow-by?
  10. they didn't make the R32 until 1989 May, so its obviously a misprint.
  11. how can a pod filter affect oil quality? If a pod filter is properly oiled it will filter the air just as good as paper elements.
  12. not if its a R32 GTR, then its only a fuse
  13. true, and if you get a full synthetic 15W then there will be no difference
  14. if your having any problems with oil consumption then a thicker oil will help. A 15w-50 is good for summer use/thrashing, and if you get a full synthetic like motul 300V its better then the 4100 as thats only a semi-synthetic so despite the thicker oil a 15w-50 will be better then a semi 10w-40 as the motul full synthetics use ester component in the oil which greatly reduces startup wear. Just look at their website it explians the benefits of fully synthetic ester oils ester benefits -> http://www.motul.com.au/fact_sheets/estel_oil.html
  15. can you weigh a car using corner scales, or just find the weight distribution? really interesting to see the weight of a GTS4, and not manufacturers dry weight....
  16. i get the same problem, if i fill the overflow bottle it will leak out when i stop. last time i did that it leaked out a puddle on my garage floor after a drive. But the radiator is always full and the car never overheats stays around 80 - 85 degrees. a bit of a puzzle, but i've got use to having a almost empty overflow bottle now so i just ignore it
  17. don't worry, r32 oil pressure gauges are often faulty and read wrong. Every R32 i've seen including mine either reads wrong or just doesn't move at all, and i've checked heaps You only have to worry if the little red light comes on
  18. yes, but those people that live up north close to canada don't have to worry about very hot climates and so would choose an oil that is suitable for very cold conditions and moderate temps. People living in hotter average climates will choose a slightly thicker oil to match the average temps. You can't expect people to change oil depending on what season it is, you just chose something that suits the average tempreture and driving style of where they live- you don't have to be exact with the viscosity, as long as the oil is good quality, changed regularly and is 'about right' with the viscosity, its good enough.
  19. The 300V range has quite a few viscosities to choose from, but the 300V chrono is 10W-40 here's the list: 300V LE MANS 20W60 300V COMPETITION 15W50 300V CHRONO 10W40 300V POWER 5W40 300V POWER RACING 5W30 300V HIGH-RPM 0W20 300V 4T COMPETITION 15W50 300V 4T SPORT 10W40 300V 4T FACTORY LINE 5W40 see -> http://www.motul.com.au/product_line_up/4s.../4stroke01.html
  20. still looking... don't make me go looking for a brand new one
  21. yup, thats a good oil. even better is the Motul 300V chrono but pretty expensive
  22. you have to remember that alot of people don't just baby their cars but regularly thrash them either drags/drift, general spirited driving... and australian conditions are pretty warm compared to the USA where it snows in winter thus we can use thicker oil.
  23. yes but the boot lid could have been changed after an accident. but obviously checking underneath for a transfer case etc is the best method...
  24. does anyone know if the Castrol SAF-XA Synthetic is good to use in a stock viscous R32 diff? or can anyone recommend a good lsd oil to use in a viscous lsd? cheers.
