  1. Good job SAU team! Mighty impressive times there.
  2. Yes, they do sag. Might do a couple of alum straps to support the middle of it. I figured I better do it now because it will be too exxy to ship later. Will be posting pics in a couple of weeks when I return and get on to this.
  3. Oh, and here she is. Just as I left it a year ago
  4. Patience! Hehe. Have been catching up with family and friends. About to leave for Alaska for 2 weeks. I have blocked out 15-22nd July as the Resurrection Week part II! Have just ordered a set of ZG Flares and Urethane front air dam to install when I get back Updates in a couple of weeks.
  5. Phil, if you are going to keep the L24/26/28 this is the first vid I've seen with a nice after market fuel injection option. Back in the US I've driven 280zx FI and it had a 1/2 second throttle delay. Not sure why, prob just old first gen FI crap. Nice throttle response on this one. Also, the old L motors love a light flywheel. Brother's car had an 8lb flywheel back in the day. Rev'd like a mofo! [media] [\media]
  6. Thanks Brian. Nice pics!
  7. Here's some more to get your heart going. I had done some research and this car is owned by the Greg Scott of Scott Performance, a California based shop specialising in Z cars. He had a "fancy" for the British racing green. I believe that my car was originally built by him/that shop in the late 70's - an era before CNC machining and aircraft alum everything. Just pure old school goodness. Shame I don't have any sound of the original engine with lopy race camshaft, 8lb flywheel, extractors and straight zorst. You would have loved it! Anyways, he's retired now but built himself a '70 240z to play at the track.
  8. Hey Phil, here's a little something to get your mind going...
  9. Just like the noise rules, these are not imposed by the club they are imposed on us as part of hiring the venue or insuring the event. In fact AASA said they didn't insure any burnout events, full stop. I suppose if people want to do that then they need to do it at power cruise or summer nats. Still lots of fun to run courses for time and handbrake turn around some cones.
  10. FYI, I did call and clarify that using the handbrake to maneuver and slide the back end of the car around cones is OK. Just no smoke shows or linking (drifting) the course.
  11. Saw some drill taps at the tool shop the other day. Unsure if I'd trust it. Anyone use these? http://www.machineryhouse.com.au/T0191
  12. New chapter about to be written in this long distance love affair. I have a trip booked back to America and plan a week with my S30. Yes, will import it into Oz sometime but unsure of timing since wifey is out of work right now so funds are limited.
  13. And legally able to sign indemnity form as well. Will have someone check with the insurance.
  14. Must be old enough and big enough to fit properly into the standard car restraints. So about 12 or so.
  15. Pretty sure it is optional. If concerned contact AASA.
  16. SAU NSW runs our events under AASA insurance so AASA or CAMS licenses are accepted. If it is a CAMS sanctioned event they may not accept AASA. CAMS requires you to be a paying member of a CAMS car club (SAU NSW is a CAMS club). AASA does not require you to be a member of any club. Just download the form from their website and fill it in. Hope that clears things up.
  17. Anyone wanting to come just contact AASA about a club license. There's probably enough time if you get on it right away.
  18. Check in with someone wearing a high vis vest (e.g. club exec). We need you to sign a waiver and discuss boundaries.
  19. Hey Tez, check with Bobby (ZTune). He was looking for a set in these spec's.
  20. It's 3M Di-Noc in Carbon Fibre pattern. Roof is also done that way.
  21. I happen to think that QM1 white makes an excellent background/foreground for some contrasting graphics. Carbon offset on white looks amazing. Seems a few of us white GTR's are coming up with similar schemes. My best advice is to sit down with a few shots in front of your computer and try out a few things. That's how I landed on my graphic sheme. This is mine. There's also another White R33 GTR here in Sydney owned by Dominic "WAGAN" that is similar.
  22. Yup, I hear the Queen loves Skidz! No better way to celebrate her b-day
  23. I run Yoko A050 Semis and Hawk HT-10 pads all round
