  1. Like Jas said, pre-load the drive train (a little clutch slip) and don't go crazy with launch. I actually found in my GTR 5500 launch had quicker 60ft than 6k, 7k or even 8k launches.
  2. So, resurrection time for this thread. I've been out of gaming for years, but since my new laptop has a GTX 960m and I love racing games I thought I'd see how it'd go. Have loaded Proj Cars and Assetto with LOTS of mods. Enjoying it so much, I decided to finally get around to buying a racing wheel and building a racing rig with the GTR seat I had laying in the garage (replaced by a Proper Cobra racing bucket). Now I need to upgrade the projector cause 1024x768 doesn't cut it. But really enjoying racing sims again! Still have finish work to do including gear lever mount, foot rest for clutch pedal and a lick of paint.
  3. I just did some brackets exactly like that. Bunnings alum strap and grommets ftw!
  4. Love the edit Pete. So, what happened on the back straight when you were chasing me? Cut quick to the S before the sweeper.
  5. Go look for the gopro software for trimming and editing. Try to re-encode in h.264 or mp4. I use videostudio x9 by Corel. But this video was still 400mb
  6. Nice one Pete. Admit it, you love my hips!
  7. Nice! Well done all. And nice to see our own Mattboy getting some international attention.
  8. Wait! You're selling your 32?!? No!!!! Why God, why?!?
  9. So I just saw that Obrien auto glass is running a comp to win hot laps on the same day as the SAU track day. So looks like between rounds, we'll get to watch V8 supercars again http://www.obrienautoglass.com.au/hotlap/
  10. I'm contemplating a mod for my R33 GTR wing too. But I don't really like the look of the raised wings. So, basically I plan to extend the wing on the sides with more wing surface (cut from the OEM since I'm running a Carbon centre wing). Flat end plates on those winglets. I do my own carbon fibre overlay and epoxy so just need to ensure the carbon weave is similar to the existing carbon wing. Then for added down force I want to fabricate a flap extension for the back of the existing wing. I will probably contour it to give a bit more aggressive look but plenty of surface. That will be tied to the existing wing and braced with turnbuckle supports tied to the boot. All design planning phase right now.
  11. Is Liz doing maths? Thought that was an Azn thang ? >P *Azn slant eye tongue out ANSI*
  12. Prob best to PM him on FB. Not sure how much he gets in here.
  13. Ok, so spotten a Maroon R33 GTs-T turning onto Mona Vale road. Looked a bit worn and as I got closer, saw that it was driven by a little old lady. Haha, wonder if she get's pulled over cause hoon car?
  14. GTR headlights have spacers in them, that you can remove if you buy 2nd hand GTR Series 1 headlights. Otherwise, GTS-T series one should fit.
  15. If it had black graphics and holes all over the bonnet that was me. And no handbrake at all on the motorkhana course there, just lots of oversteer.
  16. Absolutely awesome, as usual Sam! Thanks!
  17. Paid and entered. So #33 please for Boaty McBoatFace
  18. Pete in a Micra trying to do skidz. This I wanna see!
  19. Stock you can't change. Luke has the fuse trick switch things and I have the Ruzic 4wd computer the has profiles and gain to add on the 4wd engagement.
  20. Congrats Matthew, your GTS-T has been upgraded to a GTR! Lol. Seriously though, both Luke and I dialed down the awd for the wet. It makes the cars understeer even more than normal. But good job almost making a podium on your first outing.
  21. Well, you took out 3 rounds to my 2. Next time you just might
  22. Good job Luke. When I add our times, I see I only beat you by 0.3 of a second! Far out. Talk about down to a wire. Good driving!
