  1. Ok, my photos are finally uploaded.
  2. One thing I forgot to do was to circulate a sign-on for club points. If you want your club points check in on this thread. Will compare your post to the list in the original event thread - so no cheaters!
  3. Still downloading my photos off the memory card. Somehow managed 1.2 gigs of stuff. Like the others have said, huge-rageous thanks to the JEM boys for hosting such a great night. The atmosphere was fantastic with all those great cars and a look-see at the cool components that make up a high power build. Also thanks to Terry and Matt for putting their cars on display as well. I'm always amazed by road cars that are kept in such pristine condition (makes me glad to park at the back of the lot).
  4. I've been on the road since 4 and still 24 k's away!
  5. Bummer Mitch. I now hear that Dave's monster of a machine will be on the Dyno tonight!
  6. Entry Form (I can't edit the post): Supp Regs Scrutineering and Entry Form.doc
  7. Certainly not long now! Thanks for sorting all the in's and out's Tezza!
  8. First timers is for anyone entering for the first time. I'll have to fix up the form and get it up here, will do it this week.
  9. Very nice video there John. Are you doing a check for Pad knock with your left foot?
  10. Ahem - surprised no one has snapped these up yet: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/423228-syd-28530-18-dunlop-dz03g-sparco-slalom-sl-3-racing-boot/ And I have 295 30 18 A050's on 18 x 10's. Seem just fine and fit under the guards of my 33 GTR - hint hint Fatz.
  11. Thread revival. Anyone have any updates? I'm seriously considering this as I'm going to the US for a few weeks so could pick up a pair of front Brembo's really cheaply. I'm thinking this might be the ticket for an upgrade on my GTR to 350mm evo 10 discs up front with the Evo 6-9 calipers. (ala Alpha Omega site - like the fact that their adapter plates are made from 7075 stainless).
  12. Just so I can see the approx angle and lengths needed for the AFM blanking tubes.
  13. Hey Paulie, Next time you have the snorkle off can you take a pic and send it to me? I've been meaning for ages to put the stock airbox back in and delete my Pods. But like you I don't have AFM's anymore. Thanks.
  14. Well, I was in my GTR which is kinda hard to miss now with those Ricetard graphics
  15. Saw several Skylines out and about yesterday. Bayside Blue GTR on Comenara Pkwy crossing Kissing Point Rd, a Black 34 GTT on Lane Cove Rd and a white R33 GTST on Paramatta Rd.
  16. Nice effort there on the latest video. Gets off to a really good start/pace but then gets repetitive as you do the cars on the highway. Remember that viewers have been trained to see things in 2-5 second bursts. If you have a clip that is longer than that it has to be something of special importance or lots of action/activity. Or, it could be drawn out for dramatic effect, such as sombre times, etc. Video is such an emotional medium. As the director you are bringing someone along for the story. It's hard to create long stories on car themed items. So usually I just try to tell the story, "This is how the event went". But, unless you have action like track, drifting or glamour car shots, rarely would I exceed 2 1/2 minutes. That's just a rule of thumb. All depends on how you "feel" the pace is going and if you can keep viewer interest for that long. A good test is that if you can watch it 10+ times as you are editing and still maintain interest then you are doing an ok job. If you find you are getting impatient watching something after the 3rd or 4th time then you need to trim it up. I really like your intro. Adds a bit of "this is a production company" feel. I do that with Yamashita Productions so that people know that this is one of my videos when they see it. I can already see the improvement in your videos so just keep working on it. Here are a couple of my latest videos: And some slow motion artistry testing of my newest camera. As I indicated before these are really long clips because slow motion is usually used for dramatic effect emphasizing the emotional feeling.
  17. Actually Anna set fastest time on the Jack Rabbit course. But very pleased since I only jumped in for one or two runs. Have timing sheets to prove it and there is no evidence to confirm bribery.
  18. Scoring: Wrong direction (WD) or DNF (did not finish) is slowest time + 5 seconds Each cone hit is 5 seconds. Per Australian Motorkhana rules.
  19. So here are the results:
  20. Last time Dave, Matboy and I went they had taken down the tunnel. they mentioned that they may change the layout at Villawood. I think Villawood is a bit bigger track but I really like two straights that give you max top end time for an indoor track.
  21. Yes. I prefer Villawood. Actually a few of us bought coupons the last time they were up. Should be going soon.
