  1. Thanks Andy! Nice job there. Finally a video of me doing the course the correct way!
  2. Oh, forgot to tell folks that download the video - it's 823 megs. So make sure you have the bandwidth.
  3. Ok so here is another gift but you'll have to wait another 3 hrs or so for the link to work. I've cut together every video clip I took (barring the slomo ones) into a single file. No editing just run after run or segment. About 1/2 hr all up, but if I took a video of your car then it should be on this clip. Will get an error page until the upload finishes. But I'm going to bed cause big day was big. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19491733/Texi_RawFootage_720HD.mp4
  4. Thanks Steve! Keep 'em rolling in folks! Loving all this media to review the event!
  5. Nice one Luke! Thanks.
  6. Oh, I was also going to mention that the filming crew was looking for gopro footage from on/in car. Anyone wanting to contribute contact me and I'll have you send me a DVD with your footage. Also anyone having footage of my car I can try to swap you if I have footage of yours.
  7. I know, it was a massacre!
  8. Dave and me on a virtual battle - good thing I set a better time on another run!
  9. Last vid for the night - a couple of me, well killing cones and going the wrong direction. Doh!
  10. Bit more than a clip Just work on that clutch kick to bring the wide ass around. Takes a bit to learn how to dance with the fat lady, but once you get it you'll be doing the foxtrot tango! hehe!
  11. Oh yeahhhhhhhhhhh!!!! [click through and watch it in HD glory!]
  12. Steve, in about an hour my first video will be up and you'll be happy I think. Will post the link as soon as vimeo does it's thing. Love'n this new camera!
  13. Thanks for the great shots Chris. I noticed your Bayside Blue GTR only ran the first courses then was noticeably missing. Looks like either camber wear or the tyres chunked out cause there's lots of tread on them otherwise. Bugger! Well, come out for the next Texi and give it a go again. Your car looked really good out there.
  14. What a fantastic day! Couldn't have asked for better weather. Thanks to all the helpers and extra hands folks. Really makes running these days so much better and enjoyable. I've got a lot of video to sort through so will have a nice video ready in a week or so. I'll put up a 'teaser' tomorrow with a couple of highlights. Wow, now I really can't wait for the next one.
  15. Yes for 1 (firmly hold them in place) but I doubt #2 - there is still a small gap that isn't sealed so water/moisture could get in. Also, one lens is on the inner shroud and the other is on the light itself. So very different set-up on the two lights.
  16. Hey folks we've only got about 10 spots left. So if you deposit it your money today you'll be guaranteed a spot. If not then show up on the day and take your chances. Can't wait! Weather is shaping up nicely - mostly sunny & 27!
  17. I'm mid way through a project of this nature now. I have gotten a set of GTS-T S1 lights to go on my S1 GTR. As I understand, I think it will just need some spacers - e.g. GTS-T lights can go on GTR but not vice versa. Hopefully someone can confirm. The lights I pulled apart are not sealed at all. The glass lenses just clip onto the plastic without any o-rings or rubber grommets. I'm still contemplating how I will seal up the high beam cause I'm retro fitting a projector in the low beam side.
  18. Hmm suspicous negative lap times. Didn't see you driv'n a Delorian!
  19. Haha, good one. Yup can always use extra help. Maybe it means that I can actually run my car at this texi instead of running round like the headless chook. Thanks.
  20. Hey there guys, we're getting errors when trying to d/l attachments or add attachments to posts. Example here in our events thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/420374-saunsw-texikhana-30th-march/ If you click the supp regs you get an "Oops something went wrong" message. I also cannot add attachments when I try to repost it in a message. Thanks.
  21. The server won't let me send the form. Please PM me your email address and I'll send it to you.
  22. Duncan is just trying to point out that we all do this as volunteers and have full time jobs and lives too, folks. I find the money bit a little offensive too. We run the cheapest, high quality events around bar none. We usually barely even break even or loose money. So please do not take pot shots, even if you think it is funny. If you've paid show up and you'll be sorted. We've got a lot of paperwork and registrations is only one part of all the behind the scenes work. Don't worry, on the day will run smooth as ever, but trying to get all this stuff done before hand takes a lot of time. Thanks for understanding folks. See you Saturday! Can't wait!
  23. Well you know, every day's a leg day
  24. Interesting, wonder how those compare to a helicoil. Been a Helicoil'n nut since I bought the kit and doing all that work on the alum head. Oh and did a little work with my new Ryobi multi tool in saw mode on some plastic. OMG where have you been all my life. Makes really quick work and you can really control the sawing action so well! Colour me impressed!
  25. Thanks Guys. I should have walked around and taken more video of the crowd and cars but to be honest cbf.
