Unless your alarm has chucked it, the parkers should be fed from the light switch and only get a positive "blink" signal from the alarm. So essentially they are separate circuits. If your blinkers went off when you hit the alarm then sounds like the nominal voltage of the alarm was just enough to kill the last remaining juice in your battery. When you jump start, do the lights work? If not then you have a main line issue somewhere. The immobilizer should only affect the running circuit - e.g. ignition or fuel kill. Other items such as lights and radio should still work regardless. Be absolutely sure that when you jump start it you connect positive to positive and negative to negative. Reverse polarizing will damage the car's electronics.

Another quick update. Now that I've practiced the with the Carbon Di-Noc, attempted the grand plan item.... Mohawk for Godzilla! VERY pleased with the way it turned out. Even used the trick with the kevlar thread to cut the edges and it worked a treat!

Pretty hard to set a time considering for traffic and no real place to park for very long there at Albion. Next time we may choose the train station or something to be able to hang around a bit longer. I just didn't want us to get cited for parking along side the road if someone came along. Also having a leader/contact at Albion would be a good idea. Lessons learned. Thanks for understanding folks.

I also had a similar issue when I did mine. Since the crank wasn't out, I decided to custom grind a new key to size. I first found a 1/2 round that was the same width and then reshaped it on the grinding wheel until it seated completely in the 1/2 round bit. Then I lightly skimmed the top 1/2 to size for the pully. Now it means that my timing mark is slightly off but way better than it was with that opened keyway.

Ok folks time to wrap it up. Post up those pics and have a chat about the cruise. I really enjoyed it and the GTR finally ran without a hitch! I'll post up my pics soon, although had some kind of card problem so the pics during the cruise didn't turn out.

Weatherzone reports EC weather will be milder than Sydney. About 50% chance of rain and 1/2 the wind @ 20kph (still a decent breeze). Well, glad I didn't wash my car it would have gotten spotty anyways. Less excuses not to come out now, pristine cars hidden under spots of water/road grime.
